# 1 Abandon Ship

I like the idea/concept of having an abandon ship power. But the actual mechanical benefit is not worth enough to click the skill. After all the trade-off is that you blow yourself up, when you would have gotten a heal in the last second. So the skill is unused and useles and here are some ideas what it could do in addition:

If you explode because of or during the runtime of Abandon ship you don't lose crew.

If you explode because of or during the runtime of Abandon ship you don't get damage debuffs.

If you explode because of or during the runtime of Abandon ship you don't get a respawn timer increase.

If you explode because of or during the runtime of Abandon ship the warp core damage radius is increased to 5km.

Add a escape pod spawn animation to the skill. I would press it just to see 20+ escape pods shoot off from the ship reminiscent of one of the greatest scenes in First Contact.

Now this would make me put the skill back to the skill bar.

(Then we need to take a look at the unused Ramming Speed)

It used to provide aoe damage but people were griefing in friendly areas such as around esd and if a character was a lower lvl they would be destroyed in the explosion.

Due to the griefing the skills has no true effect now.
