# 1 Switch tto Tact/Escort

I decided to switch to a Tact Escort

Here's my build so far let me know what ya think. I've read allot of threads on Escorts and trying to use that info to build a PVE and PVP escort. I don't have all the consoles I want yet and might have to respec a few skill points here or there. I just got promoted to Commander and I haven't done any fighting with it yet to see how good or bad it is. You can see my weapons and boffs here.

Consoles and Equipment

Deflector : Rare Gravitron MK V [Inc] [Em]

Impulse : Rare Hyper-Impulse Mk V [Aux] [Full]

Shields : Rare Covariant Mk V [Cap] x2

Engineering : Uncommon Booster Modulator Mk V, Uncommon Emergency Force Fields Mk V

Science : Uncommon Shield Emitter Amplifer Mk VI

Tactical : Rare Universal Point Defense System, Rare Universal Grappler, Rare Impulse Capacitance Cell

I can't afford any better consoles right now so these will change as soon as I get a chance.

At low lever don't pay to much atention on gear, just focus on reach lvl50 fast.

But some quicky tips:

-Use resilent shields (better if they have [Cap]x2 o x3, until u have the level for get a M.A.C.O shield)
-Use Cannons, u are escort, 3 dual heavy cannons + 1 quantum torpedo on front, and all turrets rear (all weapons should be of the samy energy type) is the most common layout.
-Use tactical consoles for increse your energy damage (for example, use all phaser weapons and all Phaser Relay consoles in tactical slots, or all disruptors and disruptor coils console, etc..)
- For eng slots, find yourself some damage resistence consoles (neutronium alloy, ablative hull , etc)

And don't waste skills points in flow capacitors, driver coil, etc, no sense at all. 3 Very Rare Mk X Phaser Dual Heavy Cannons ( I have a Phaser Quad Cannon [Dmg]x4 I might swap one in for one of the Dual heavy cannons)
1 Rare Mk X Quantum Torpedo


In the rear I have
1 very rare Mk X Phaser turret
1 rare Mkx phaser turret
1 rare mk VIII retorfit aft phaser beam bank ( just to see how it does I'm also going to try a quantum back there to if I don't like the retrofit phaser before settling on a 3rd turret )

the skill tree is looking good, max Starship Maneuvers and Starship Targeting Systems if u are planning to do PvP

Max Starship Warp Core Potential, and Starship Shield Performance too.

And i said before, ALWAYS run your weapon energy on 125 (down shield to 50, and aux to 25, go for weapons to 125 and rest on engines). For increase your shield power u can chain 2xEPTS, that will give u a permament buff to shields

And remeber, tactical consoles ALL of the energy type (in your case, all phaser relay). Save your EC for buy lvl50 items, don't waste it now.

Thanks for all the help I'm up to level 50 now in a MVE and I am building up my EDC's etc to I can get some better equipment but I seem to be doing ok in STF with this make up so far.

Also is it really worth making the switch to Antiproton I was looking at base MkXII Phaser and Antipproton Dual Heavy Cannons and the Phaser did a little more Damage and the Antiproton only did 4 more DPS. I also have a LT. Cmdr. Science station on this ship and the LT. Cmdr. power for my BOSS is Scramble Sensors and I'm thinking of changing it what would be a better LT. CMdr. Boff power to use?

For PVP phaser is better, for STF i like AP

Use 3xField Generator (or at least 2) in sci consoles slots (u can use crafting for make them, or simple buy it from exchange or dilithium store). Put borg console in 1 eng console slot, and use MACO SHield instead of borg (more cap+resilent).Those 2 changes will give to u a BIG BIG shield boost, u will survive a lot more.

And if u use phaser, use 4xPhaser Relay in tact consoles, any other thing will drop ur DPS.

Sci powers Hazzard Emiters + Transfer Shield Strenght + whatever u want (tractor beam, viral matrix, grav well, etc)
