what does it look like?

Is it a single missile or multiple missiles?

What is the reload time?

Th rapid fire missle launcher is single shot but can be affected by high yeild and torp spread it also has an almost instant cooldown aswell as a 180 degree fireing arc therfore enabling it for use as a broadsiding weapon.

If i remeber too I will edit this post with screenshots of it in action.

Sounds like it would rock for the vault, too bad it can't be sold on the exchange.

That being said all I would want for my b'rel is the mine but I'd need like 150 more keys to get it since Its extremely doubtful to get a specific item you want out of using a key. That missle tho doesn't seem like it out flesh out well with b'rel decloaking you every 3 seconds as you fire that would just keep you decloaked but no worries since I'll never get one anyways.

Effective wise the rapid fire missile is a bad joke and completely worthless.
I run a quick test and i get about 2000dps from my quantum and about 500 from the rapid fire, both mounted on the same ship at the same time. No boff skills. The quantum did hit 51 times, the rapid fire 87 times. Sure it fires a lot faster but just tickles the target.

Wait, what? It can? AFAIR the description states they're not affected by any torpedo skills, although I didn't check this personally. I only know of the D'Kora's Missile Swarm, but that's a separate ability.

Personally I use the missiles mainly due to their 180' firing arc, which works really well on my beam boat. I never liked having to turn just to fire a torpedo or torpedo spread, so for now I'm very happy with this purchase. Still, it's not worth your money if you're flying an escort.

As for the visuals, I'd prefer the launcher to fire a set of two missiles, instead of one. I don't mean the dmg should be doubled, but I think it would just look better, considering how small these missiles are.

EDIT:
Just checked - missiles do in fact work with torpedo abilities, even though item descritpion states otherwise. Still, with 2 sec cooldown I'm not sure whether it's worth to use those, as the damage per torpedo is significantly reduced (for me it was ~1500 normal, ~1400x3 with HY2 and ~1000x3 per target with TS2).
