Should always have at least 7 tac slots IMO.
Trust me, we the set up I have suggested, I can find several different ways to kill stuff. Also keep in mind that there are offensive capabilities in the Engineer BoFF Skill tree.

That's not the point, what precedent is there for an Escort with 4 Engineering powers - including one that is Lt Comm?

It breaks the mold for every Escort.

Wishlisting is fun, being practical is better, IMO anyway.

As we've been told over and over again, different teams do different things so someone sitting down over lunch to hammer out the stats for a natural progression of a +1 fleet escort should not be difficult. I'd imagine thinking up an original console that was not based on something out of the series or movies would be the most difficult part but hardly a showstopper.

As far as to how fair that is to KDF players, which is what you are really concerned and incensed about (not that you shouldn't be!) I think a better service for the KDF would be for someone to design a Blood Elf equivalent for it. That will provide the KDF with the population boom the devs feel would justify making more content for it (the latest FE was a joke for my KDF toon, it didn't even have the Bortas show up at the end, what a downer). I am not trying to make light of the KDFs situation, this is an honest and true opinion.

They do Magniacapra, but they have pretty much said the next Fed ship is the Andorian Escort which may very well be an Engineering based Escort like the MVAE is to Science.

I'm just not thinking that DEM2 is a good thing on an escort compared to two APO1's.

Running GW1, VM1 or whatever your choice of Sci power is can be far better than a Lt.Com level Tac ability.

Running a Grav Well with a just a Green Grav Doff can snare the Borg in a series of Grav Wells while my Polaron CSV drains their energy and Hull points.

because he wants a "i win" ship. all of the suggestions for this +1 ship would be CLEARLY op not maybe OP like the odyssey.

I may be a minority of one but i think Escorts need to be much more fragile than they already are.

The same couldve been said for many changes ships have had, like the advanced escort getting all of those science boff's. The phaser lance on the Gal-X (what ship has nine weapons?) Im looking at it in a way of a next step up in the fleet escorts design, more tanky and still having plenty of dakka-dakka.

Actually, I was concerned that this was just another "I want" thread becuase the OP is looking to be a little more OP for a vessel that is already quite well designed and not really in need of +1 version when other ships are out there to be created instead.
