# 1 Anti Spam Act Protocol

Can we have more devices to counter spam. I am a bit tired of green eggs and ham.

Maybe reduce the cd of http://www.stowiki.org/Console_-_Uni...Defense_System to around one min?

CSV is not an answer, only if it acts like faw or the arc is changed to 180 degrees.

Warp plasma and plasma mines have been working for me on cruisers TBR helps but im not trying to put a build together just to combat NPC spam. If i wanted to do PvE id stay out of the queues

We all hate spam, but Sonic's right, people cant build builds that simply counter spam, it's not a good enough use of their time in PVP. It's a shame turrets arn't a bit more useful, we could drop those and let them battle spam while PVP carries on. Maybe a new space set that several people have to have equiped, they get together in PVP and construct like a little orbital platform designed to pop frigates, fighters and mines? That would then create a reason to defend it from the other side and a reason to blow it up should you BE on that second team.

I wasn't really watching for it before so I can't say for sure, but will check, but spam seems to be countering spam. The biggest problem I have is rendering that much crap at once, and targeting somebody through the UI clutter.

I turned off name and reticle for all pets (Friendly npcs, enemy npcs, and "your officers"). It made players soooo much easier to see. Like, that option single-handedly made the game playable for me again.

Spam should be an asset, not an "I Win!" button.

Last night we were up against a Klingon team, and were doing well. Not pwning, but not losing either. Then the Aceton Assimilators started to drop, and from that point on we made 0 kills. As the only torp-boat on the team it fell to me to get rid of them; however, with so many fighters and BoP's and turrets being dropped everywhere, the only way I could actually target one was to hunt it out and individually select it. Simply manually targeting them through the spam took more than the cooldown time for the enemy to drop another, and another.

This brilliant 'tactic' allowed the other team to get an easy win in what was in the beginning a fun and challenging battle. From now on, when I see an Aceton Assimilator, I'm warping out. Sorry, teammates, but I'm here for PvP, and am not interested in who can buy the best 'I Win' button.

How about adding AA turrets to the game. Or making the currently rather useless turrets into AA turrets. Give them a five kilometer range and have the auto fire at any non player ship. Zero effect on player ships. Death to spam. The more turrets, the faster the spam dies. Say four turrets could effectively keep up with the spam from one carrier. So any escort might have one and contribute to spam killing, but they wouldn't likely have more than that. A cruiser could have more, and wouldn't feel overly hurt by giving up some slots for the AA turrets.

Or we could just stick with the current AA Tourette's. #$!@ # $!@ #$ spam!
