Why not make pet launching abilities dependent on crew?

That way, you can fight the spam, it gives crew and crew-related consoles some purpose, and it encourages some thinking with carrier builds.

You have to think with carrier builds regardless. If you don't build it a certain way it will fail. It isn't s ship with much ability to conquer shortcomings.

I dont have a problem with the cat carrier, it's just the advanced runabout fighters that are ****ing me off. I cant fly around in a PVP with 5 tractor beams on me from pets alone, before i even count other players' effects.
