The current development focus is on repeatable endgame content at the moment, of which there is not much to choose from. One of the great things about the design of STO though is that all content has the potential to be repeatable with the various level scaling and difficulty level options.
This is a list of endgame content with rewards (not counting Klingon exclusive):
- 6 STFs
- 6 Fleet Actions
- 3 Events (Mirror, Vault, Defari)
- 2 Noncombat Dailies
- 7 Combat Dailies
- Red Alerts
- 2 Misc Dailies (Explore & Foundry)
We also have the following existing assets that are underutilized at endgame.
- 49 Story Missions
- 20 FE Missions
- 100+ Patrols (that can only be played once)
There are currently 9 major enemy groups, and 4 Klingon groups.
- Borg: 6 STFs, Red Alerts, 1 Event
- Breen: 3 Daily Missions
- Cardassian: Share 4 Dailies with Dominion
- Dominion: Share 4 Dailies with Cardassian
- Ferengi: None
- Gorn: 1 Fleet Action
- Hirogen: None
- Klingon: 3 Fleet Actions
- Nausicaan: None
- Orion: None
- Romulan(Reman): 1 Event, 1 Fleet Action
- Terran(Fed): 1 Event
- Unidine: 1 Fleet Action
I have made the following observations:
All the solo daily missions (aside from random ones) only feature 3 enemy groups, or less than 1/3rd.
There are 3 fleshed out enemy groups with no endgame presence at all.
Borg are obviously getting over done.
With nearly 200 missions (story/patrol/FE) there must be atleast 200 fleshed out maps, likely many more.
I know that the patrols and many story missions are not considered to be of, great, quality. But quantity has a quality of its own if there is a reason to play the content.
So can someone, anyone, please explain why we cannot get more missions using existing assets and a reason to play/replay the existing ones reward wise?
