The Orion Slaver fighters seem to strip shields with terrifying speed which makes then a pretty nice ship to use but they state that they steal EC, Mats, and Contraband sometimes. However, I have not noticed them doing this against the Borg, the True Way, or other Players. So I am curious... Do they not really do this? Is there some special thing that must be done to get them to do this? Do they steal stuff but not give it to me?
60-40 split was the deal we made! now pay up punks!
In all seriousness though, i've heard a great many KDF player ranting about this, so you're certain not the only one.
Ah... So it is basically a non-functional mechanic at the moment? That is what I was wondering. Do you know if it has been brought to the Dev's attention yet?
Also cardassians are UGLY at a 13 on a scale of 1-10 they would never sell either
I happen to like Maj. Kira more as a Cardassian :3
But no I don't think you can enslave a Cardie, they're far too disciplined, resistant to even direct mind probes and if they ever appeared to submit to you they'd find a way to gain your trust and stab you in the back when you least expect it. Innocent 'filing clerks' and 'tailors' as shown on DS9 are pretty notorious.
Well given the level of technology in the star trek universe a bomb or pain induction collar would be fairly easy to make. Tie it in to a dedicated computer system that monitors and punishes the workers if their output gets too low, slavery gets even more efficient as now you don't have to have guards with keys or remotes, this eliminates the possibility of escape. If you think slavery in the trek universe is harsh, look up the Drengin from Galactic Civilizations 2. http://galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Drengin_Empire
Near as I can tell they do steal stuff, but they do it so infrequently that they aren't worth much. And they don't do anywhere near the dps of standard fighter pets, so there isn't any use for them.
I haven't been able to see if the crew stealing mechanic does anything either. It never seems to do anything, but I see the power being used. Honestly, I'm not sure what it's supposed to do in the first place.
If it replaces dead crew that's fine, but my crew is never dead...they just from alive to injured and almost never actually die off, so it doesn't mean anything. *shrug*
