I have yet to see a Klingon commander who willingly would allow any of his subordinant Officers claim a kill that was his....so having any Klingon ship split into two or more seperate sections all -equally- able to kill a target doesn't sound very true to Klingon nature. Now, a Raptor that latches onto another ship via a tractor beam to allow boarding actions....-THAT- would be Klingon.

My question is will you have to be in a LARGE fleet to get that love?

i have fears that all this "love" will result in a slew of things us trek fans wont instantly recognize as klingon or federation ships. an OCCASIONAL alien ship is OK, but i really want to see traditional starfleet of kdf. that's what im here for, this IP, not generic but cool looking scifi. i hope these ships are more recognizably trek.

with this HUGE cateran ship, you really have to bend over backward suspending your disbelief that such a thing could be created by a race with 0 history of ship building, or any history. even with the combined resources of the entire starfleet, they don't field ships that large. stuff like this is the wrong direction, regardless of how well it is crafted.

I have to agree here.

Would be lovely if Cryptic made a number of new story missions (wishful thinking), involving nothing BUT, new lore supporting the idea of Caitians and their shipbuilding.

...did NOT expect a dev to support this! oO

Looks like I'll be holding off my next escort purchase... Good thing I fell in love with the Nebula.

However, I would also like to see additional variants (for Dilithium), in which you have cross-class (Hybrids), such as Science ships with Tactical abilities, Escorts with Engineering abilities etc.

So, can we assume this means at the LAUNCH of Season 6? And not 5-6 months down the road "during Season 6" ?
With ideas like this that means the BoP loses it uniqueness and is losing an Ensign slot for no reason what so ever.

In all honesty, I never understood why the T5 BoP had 1 less officer slot then EVERY OTHER T5 ship. Sure, Universal slots is a nice thing to have, but I don't consider it to be worth losing an entire officer for.

Obviously, if they were to give all Tier 5 ships "4 universals + 1 class specific Commander", they would have to compensate so that ships with less than 5 officers get their 5th officer. The Bird of Prey is essentially the Klingon equivalent of a Defiant, so why it should have all Universal slots, is beyond me. I'd see it as a Commander Tactical + 4 universal to be honest.

Explain a carrier then? It would have the same problem. What Klingon commander would willingly allow one of his lowly pilots the glory of a kill? It's not always about the kill, it's the actions that get the kill. Most Klingons know this and also know that a kill belongs to more then just the commander of the ship.
