image isnt that big neither is the file size. and now it dosent flicker and its a jpg, text is a bit to small however, and now its not too small

I don't see where having it flicker is such a big deal....

It sure was cooler looking that way.

.jpegs are safer and easier for the mods to deal with. We tried with no effort to get them to allow .pngs because they are smaller, but they stuck with .jpeg only.

In captian log you wrote that you can get from 1-10 lobi crystals from lockboxes but i got several times 20 lobi crystal from a single lockbox.

Thank you hrci2907 - I have been informed that there have been those who have also received 100. I have corrected my column to reflect the appropriate numbers and the fact that the 100 Lobi crystal box is a "very rare" drop.

I have spent just over $100 on the Ferengi boxes and never saw more than 10. Since I tend to steer clear of the forums I did not read the fact that others had actually received more.

But on Lobi Crystals and time gated events and loss of Featured Episodes, we've suddenly got unanimous consensus from pretty much every podcaster aside from the new girl on Priority One and even her position is more "There has to be a reason for this we aren't seeing" than outright disagreement. I'd say the forums probably have a few more people like her than the podcasts do.

We have a unified standpoint from just about everyone though. I could take transcripts from any of the podcasts and blogs, from any of the posters on the forums. If I typed them up, nobody would be able to guess who said which quote.

Let's see if whoever is driving these decisions is capable of swalloing their ego, and working out a solution.

This is really a level of player upset I haven't seen about multiple things wrong in a game (from a customer perspective) in quite a long while.

I don't even think there needs to be a currency for getting the lockbox ship. But there should simply a reward with every opened lockbox that feels worth the ~100 Cryptic POints opening one costs. But 1 Lobi Crystal is not that reward. If they want to keep it variable, okay, but then have the variance from 25 to 50 for example, and put something in the store for 20, 50 and maybe one special one at 500 at best. Just put something consumable (but worthy consumable) in it as well, and they'll probably forever have people buying master keys just for the lobi crystals. They don't have to gouge customers with them!

And herein lies our current problem.

Cryptic is putting Lobi crystals into boxes that *supposedly* already contain "worthy" consumables (consumable battle pets, batteries, shields, armor, gambling devices, etc.) and the Lobi crystals are theoretically the *second chance* currency - the thing you're not *supposed* to want any more than the item you already got in the lockbox.

The fact of the matter is - they've placed items I personally desire MORE into the Lobi Crystal consortium than they have in the boxes - so Lobi *aren't* second chance to me - they're the item I actually want.

And you're RIGHT - the prices in the Consortium are *outrageous.*

So far, IMHO it's alllllll backwards. Throw the armor, shields and batteries into the Lobi store and put the costume pieces that I really want into the lockboxes.

Better yet - put them in to the C-Store where I can just buy them. XD

IMHO only of course!
