3. How are the Fighters that come with the ship?

4. Do you have any good ideas of a STF or PVP build for this ship?

I hope to be able to save up so cash to afford the ship, but in the meantime I just wanted to find out more about the build and the flight characteristics of it. On my Klingon officers I have the Vo Quv and the fekrhi carrier and enjoy flying them. I just wanted honest opinions from the buyers and flyers of the ship. I will give an preemptive thank you for all the insightful replies.

1) I would ditch the setup that comes with the ship but that goes for practically every ship you get anyway. I mean no ships come out of the box with the optimal setup.

2) I do enjoy flying the Atrox. It is good looking and does a fine job at being a very tough Support Ship + Killer.

3) The Stalkers are great for killing shields and screwing up other Support Vessels. However they are not hot on damage. My advice is get the Advanced Stalkers for one bay and Advanced Peregrines for another. For PvP you will want some Runabouts. The combo of Stalkers and Peregrines (The Advanced ones you get from the Dilithium Store) strip shields very fast with the Stalkers and then the Peregrines hammer the enemy to dust.

4) Well See for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHC1iyAY9P8

If you fly the Vo'Quv as you say then basically this is just a copy of the Vo'Quv for the Feds with different hangars. It is setup very similarly, flies very similarly, but has slightly superior hangar options IMO. The Peregrines and Stalkers combined are a real pain for enemies because Stalkers shut down your Aux ALL THE TIME and Peregrines turn your Subsystems off randomly at an alarming rate. It can make doing ANYTHING very difficult.

However, this is no match of the Devil of Space... The Kar'Fi is still the Dark Prince of Carriers.

I run 1 science crew recovery console, and 1 engineering crew protection console and I still get my crew slaughtered at seemingly every turn. It doesn't help that if you are on your bridge, in a station, or generally not directly piloting your ship YOUR CREW DOES NOT RECOVER!!!!
This only seems to worsen the problem that I only really seem to die WHEN MY CREW IS GONE. I have never died barring afew 5man aphla strikes in pvp while still having any white crew icons.

It has 3,000 Crewmen. The reason you are having this problem is that Crew Death is the ONLY thing in the game that is percentile based in how it effects points. Does damage to your hull or shields go by %? No. Do healing abilities heal a %, save one, No. So why is it then that we kill Crew by %? It effectively means that it is irrelevant how big your crew is because if the ability killed 50% of them then rather you have 3,000 or 30 you will be losing half.

1. How good is the current setup that comes with the ship?

Default junk. Scrap it asap (ie: when you collect your ship)

2. Do you enjoy flying this ship?

Very much so, but I like driving carriers. She handles much like the Vo"quv. Roll a KDF and try one for free if in doubt (you can make L40 in about 10 days just setting up doff missions twice daily and logging out).

3. How are the Fighters that come with the ship?

Not bad. Stalkers are pretty mean little buggers. I'd recommend also picking up Peregrine Fighters and Danube Runabouts if you're going to be running STFs

4. Do you have any good ideas of a STF or PVP build for this ship?

Tons of solid builds out there. I built mine to tank and run blockade for STFs

My Atrox config is probably a little controversial as I designed her to be more a PvE only artillery/support ship. My ship typically hangs behind at the 8-12km region, taking down opponent's shields, lobbing torpedoes, regenerating shields, repairing hulls while my fighters are up front attacking. Occasionally if things go bad, my ship will wade in and tank while my teammates recover.

Fore: 2 x Quantum Torpedoes, 1 Dual Beam Bank (for target subsystems)
Aft: 3 x Turrets
Omega Mk XII Set, primarily for Tetryon Glider.
Main BOff abilities: 2 x Tac Team, 2 x TSS, 2 x HE, Aux2SIF, 2 x EP2S, GravWell
Duty Officers: 3 x Projectile Weapon Officer, Damage Control Officer, Gravimetric Scientist
