We are investigating a bug where some Gold Members may not have received their additional character slot -- details here (Will be fixed ASAP!).
UPDATE! We are also investigating reports of slow patching and are working on a resolution. For a better patch experience, please restart your launcher. It will pick up where it left off and should be faster to complete.

As an interesting build I'm looking for a way to increase the map level speed of my ship(s). I saw a MACO engine that allowed multiple slip stream jumps, but I was thinking of just basic warp speeds.
Fastest ship is currently an Excelsior retrofit with Borg engine. It can Transwarp to almost all sector blocks, and when it's not transwarping it's traveling at over warp factor 20 with the subtranswarp engine.
Full speed on sector map... Borg engine you can have a sustain speed of 20.93.
Another way is use "no common" Oddysey with Omega engine. You'll get double quantum slipstream time with half recharge time and you can go to 29.90 a big part of time.
While Driver Coil will help you go faster than the basic Warp 14 of the Borg Engine.
It is a next to useless skill, it does mean your full impulse doesn't drain as much power but any competitive build skips it for something that actually helps you. Your better off asking for the Buff in Sector space.
Raiding Party and Diplomatic Immunity can be cast cross-faction and apparently stack, so you can pull off truly ridiculous cruise speeds with those 1-hr buffs active with the Borg engine.
If you go the Excelsior route, you'll also want a good Astrometrics doff, to cut down on your Transwarp cooldown times.
