The Galaxy/Venture is nice, but they are tubs. How about a cruiser with some maneuverability?

The Excelsor's nowhere near as maneuverable as the ships that are maneuverable ... like Birds of Prey and what not.

Then you are asking for an oxymoron! Battlecruisers are for Klingons only. :p

No one was expecting it to. It doesn't need to be like a Bird of Prey to be more effective in maneuvering, it just needs to be more responsive than the Galaxy class, which it does hands down.

I used the Commander level (heavy) cruiser for my Captain level progress, it is more responsive than the Captain lelvels, and onlyh gives up a little bit in comparison. Also, the Captain level Intrepid handles itself well for that level (even though its a scienceship).

I'm pretty sure the limited maneuverability of cruisers is intended to be a limitation on that class of ship.

That ship must be Excelsior refit. If standar is tier 3, refit must be on tier 4, nor on tier 5. That bring some of logical.

(I must declare that I have Excelsior refit purchase and I no regret it, but excelsior no must be a tier 5 ship)

Thanks to everybody for the fun, sorry for my bad english.
