I remember back in the old days you'd go to the admirals office and talk to sulu to get your new ship, i noticed when i ranked to lieutenant on my new char, i run over to sulu in the admiral office and theres no options or quest available for a new ship
As i understand, each "rank up" has a new ship for free. and im wondering how you go about getting it, it even says in the rank up notes about each rank "new ship" under lieutenant
Incorrect. After f2p, only gold members attain a new ship at each rank, accept Vice Admiral. For silver, i believe you get a free ship up to LC (not sure) then you need to buy the rest with dilithium.
so let me get this right, your saying that for anyone who isnt a gold member has to pay silver for new ships up until VA which costs dilithium from there on forward
What Rivyn said is incorrect. You get a free ship up until RA rank even if you are a silver player. After passing ten levels (10-20-30-40) you get a hail from Admiral Quinn. You need to visit him, turn in the mission and then you can visit the shipyard to get your new ship.
Ok, let me set you straight on this. I've only played since the F2P launch. Every 10 levels, ending with Rear Admiral, Lower Half, lvl 40, you get a free ship. After talking to the Admiral, you go to the shipyard and then to the ship/shuttle requisition person on the right side by the windows at the counter. There you can select one ship that would normally be availible for dilithium for free, so long as it's the proper tier of ship. Once you hit Vice Admiral, you can get a new ship, but the only ones for that rank cost C points.
ok now i understand. i just thought it was a little earlier than 10, since in the rank details the first lieutenant rank shows a "new ship" listed as a perk
I don't think it is correct that they get one every level. I think, and I could be wrong, that they get a free ship token at level 20 and 40. They get a reduced ship token for all other ranks. I am a gold member so don't quote me please. This is the way F2P testing work on Trimble, they might have changed it.
People have already mentioned it. But there is one level 10 rank you don't get one. I forget the rank, but the ship levels you get are Connie refit, Akira, Galaxy and Sovereign. So 4 free ships when silvers level up. You have to talk to Admiral Quinn in his office to get the token.
