No the Odyssey is a Cruiser it's not a Universal ship, it will never be as Damage intensive as an Escort or Science orientated as a Sci Vessel. Sensor Analyse does not a Science Vessel make.
Your want Universal look at the BoP, as capable as being an Escort a Support vessel or a Sci Vessel, the only thing it can't do it tank.
The odyssey is a cruiser but it has three types each shifted towards one of the three areas. That's why the Vesta is a good example of being tactical, science or engineer vessel because it has aspects of all, i.e. it has forward facing cannons. what cruiser besides the galaxy X has this.

Most of the klingon ships ever seen have been made for combat so wouldn't be surprised if they did have aspects of the other types besides tactical. Federation ships have specific roles even if they are combat able which is why it would work better for federation ships, though i would like to see them introduce some science based vessels and i mean proper ones not rehashes that come under science category.
They cant clear the legal right to it. So it has been on hold. Do not look for in game any time soon.
What are you referring to? If you mean the Vesta class i heard via the Priority One podcast that they are in talks and its on the list of ships to be coming out. One of the Hosts (James) is a big fan of the ship and i think he's had a chance to speak to its original designer too.
