I would like to respec my Lv 50 KDF Science Captain. She flies a B'rel Retrofit. The theme I'd like to go for is a "Sneaky Tricks" build.

I'm looking for suggestions on skills, builds, and tactics. I am not an experienced PvP player, so feel free to factor that fact in.

So, nobody has any advice, opinions, theorycrafting, or anything about Science captains in B'Rel Retrofits?

Does anybody know which BO abilities can be used without disrupting the Enhanced Battle Cloak?

Sorry I can't help, but does anyone know where I can find a list for powers that work on the B'Rel while Cloaked?

There's a thread over here talking about outfitting the B'Rel, but we've steered towards a Torpedo Boat. My main KDF toon is Science, so you can check the last page there for some points I was taking. The B'Rel Torpedo Boat maximizes everything out of the Enhanced Battle Cloak. With Science, you can wreak some havoc in the middle of a fight or set up your own attack runs.

i can post you my sci/tac build for BOP, i don't know if it's DPS heavy, but it's fun in PVP and PVE
in STF's i can take all roles, (not tanking) but have to wait till someone gets aggroed because of the glass cannon nature of the mighty BOP im also using a DOFF for evasive maneuvers.

fore - plasma torpedo, 3x DHC
aft - turrets, all disruptor

reman set MK XII very rare (some grinding involved) is good to boost gravitons, also perhaps needs a reskill

BOFFs:
SCI - HE, PH, TBR, GW
TAC - TT, CRF, THY
TAC - TS, CRF
SCI - HE, ST

you see no engi here..
have to add - today i had a 47k crit on my HY3 plasma torpedo.. is that much?

you will need some aux batteries and shield batteries or fighters/turrets

consoles:
engi - borg console and whatever
sci - gravitons all the way, i've got also one for power insulators
tac - 2x for disruptor, 1 for the plasma torpedo

another way is to go for KHG set (never made MK XII, so MK XI is also fine)
SCI: ST, TB, ES, TR
another skills, another effects, but works also fine without an engi, here change for a quantum torpedo

and yes, the torpedo B'rel is also wonderful!
just not so much for STF's and you also have to wait till someone strips the shields.. but it'S fun.

Back in S4 I had a B'Rel Science build that was just plain nasty. S5 hasn't been so kind to it so the build has been shelved for now. Anyhoo, I saw your thread and decided to post anyway. Maybe you can take away a few ideas from this. Back then my DPS primarily came from stacking EWP and GW with the target Senor Scanned while running high Aux. I would easily overpower most Escorts and most Science ships very quickly with this tactic (especially the inexperienced ones). I would usually try to hit targets with a Scramble to confuse their heals and evasives. Subnuke and Target Engines or Chronitons for good measure. Unfortunately you cant achieve the same damage numbers with this tactic since S5 so it isn't nearly as effective. There was a time during Season 4, however, that I would put this build up against any other.

Loadout
Fore
1 Phaser Beam Array
1 Tricobolt
1 Har'Peng
1 Chroniton Torpedo

Rear
1 Phaser Beam Array
1 Tricobolt or 1 Chroniton Torpedo

Power levels: 25/25/50/100

Tactics: Decloak > Pick target > Target Engines > Gravity Well > Eject Warp Plasma > Sensor Scan > Subnuke > Target destroyed > Cloak

Lt. Tactical
Tactical Team 1
Torpedo High Yield 2

Lt. Engineering
Emergency Power to Shields 1
Auxiliary to Structural Integrity Field 1
Eject Warp Plasma 1

Lt. Tactical
Tactical Team 1
Target Engines Subsystems 2

Commander Science
Polarize Hull 1
Scramble Sensors 1 (Variant: Transfer Shield Strength 2)
Transfer Shield Strength 3 (Variant: Charged Particle Burst 2)
Gravity Well 3

I don't have to wait for someone to strip the shields. For as many warheads I have flying, as well as the Breen Cluster Torpedos, I can make a definite mark. Since I also have Bio-Neural Warhead, I definitely don't need to wait on anyone, PVE or PVP.

Thanks for the responses... keep 'em coming!

So nobody has a list of the BO abilities that don't drop the EBC?

After reading the other thread I think I get it...

Some stuff is disabled (like any beam weapons, etc)
Other stuff that affects an opposing ship drops cloak temporarily
Stuff that affects just you don't drop cloak

What about Ally Heals/Buffs... do those also cause cloak to drop?
