Not good enough. I want to see a chestburster scene that makes my team head for the hills. Then I want to drop a nuke on my own colony from orbit to stop the spread. >:-D

What about those parasite bug things from TNG Consipracy? There was build up about it in a few episodes, they exploded a couple of Admirals and were never seen or heard from again.

They're pre-retcon Borg. Like non-spotty Trill and flat headed Romulans.
Unlike the last 2, the Bluegill could make an interesting return.

Zerg? They are kinda a blend of Species 8472 and Borg. Maybe they come from an alternate timeline/future where our Captain failed to stop the Borg assimilating the Undine. Or some extra-galactic threat.

Robot enemies. Not Androids, robots. A giant robot fleet is invading the Milky Way, in its ever-lasting quest to make the galaxy a safer place for their masters. Some kind of slug/snail/frog creature living on swamp worlds. They don't always resort to conquest and annihalation, but when they believe peaceful negotiation won't work, they do. Unfortunately, their First Contact was with the Borg. Or Kazon.

They made a very intresting return in the DS9 relaunch books. As for a new villain, Pakleds. They finally got going. They are smart now. They are a power.

What could be interesting would be to do a WoW Cataclysm type event* - the Iconians could fill the role of being what sets the event off, since they're already established in-game.

Though keep the STF's/PvP etc etc somehow.
