Considering how the people in the big ships are actually helping the people in the small ships getting the same goals accomplished i don't see how its spitting in their face. Personally the only difference i've seen so far from the ships versus all shuttle runs are a higher success rate with ships. Cryptic doesn't want the big ships in there so they're fixing it. Until then it's not really hurting any one.

You can say anything about if is fair or unfair to take full advantage from a bug ou glitch to get a easy way to finish or find anything.


The point is: Is really worth? Really worth working hard to build a great set of consoles, engines and etcetera to have a good ship but if a good number of people enjoy to take any shortcut to finish this just to feel special for finishing a event because don't have enough experience or skills to do without cheating?


Ok, Crypt really have a patch. But this are active in the main server, the Holodeck? No, not yet... And because this "no" and without any formal word from the Devs you think if the Staff really want to improve our game working in silence or just want to leave this, waiting the right moment to retire the entire event or place a new thing in the c-store or something to distract from the real problems with many aspects of this game.


Leaving the whole vault event is the best thing to me, because the true taste of "fail". If don't want to gain xp (in any amount) from exploits or get items from bugs or glitchs, is a personal option. A dumb one if you want to be a real legitime player and don't take advantage from glitchs and bugs.

I value my game and really have pride for my rewards. And have enough guts to don't make a easy choice and be a cheater to get advantage from this glitch/bug, giving up for my personal values. I can be a worse player, but at least, I am honest with myself and other players.

I asked somebody about it once, and they said that if they knew everyone on their team was going to know what they were doing, they'd probably bring a shuttle, but that as they could have any random person teamed with them, that could wreck a run even if they themself did everything right, they wanted to have as great a means to carry a bad team as possible.

It raises an interesting question: What's more fair? A good player losing out because of bad wingmen, or bad players being carried by a player in a starship?

I was at tonight's Vault shuttle event, and what shows up but an Atrox carrier. If that's not overkill I have no idea what is. He not only brought 1 fighter.. he brought 50. and a carrier along with them. Where's the point in finishing the event in 3 minutes. It takes longer to get from room to room that way than it does to clear them. Come on cryptic if you can keep shuttles out of STFs why can't you keep regular ships out of shuttle events?

Been looking for a video or something to teach myself how to do this run better, but tonight I ran this like 3 times in the hour it was up and I have to say it was annoying the two times a big ship didn't show up. First time went without a hitch, and the other two times everyone got bogged with the ships in the second room (Not the fighters the bigger ones). Sure it sucks that there is a bug that brings bigger ships into the fray, but at the same token it is not exactly an 'everyman' mission. If it were build for the slightly higher than the lowest common denominator then people wouldn't be trying to figure how to get ships in there that can actually get the job done. Considering that you need like 96 of the things at the end to get the fully decked out reman set, 1 successful run in 3 with me blowing everything in creation out of the sky means that there is a problem on more than one front.

I can only invite everyone to use the bug. For the record, i did not before because i dont like the Vault. I did this mission once or twice and it was boring and actually, i didnt know what to do because there were no explanation to this at all (or none that was immediately visible). So, why am I inviting everybody to use this bug?

1. Without the bug, you have to work hard.. Harder than you should (cryptic logic, see grinding in STFs)
2. It was never that easy to get something from STO. Imagine there would be a bug in the STFs, i would surely use to to get a set for all (2) my toons. I just dont have the time to play STO all day long and i dont want it and it starts to get really boring..

I wonder how hard it'd be to make the inner doors only open to shuttle width?

(Which would be a nice way to keep that stinking Mogai Escort from following you down the hall in the regular Vault mission.)

Yesterday I had a run where I was the only player in a shuttle. I really hope the patch is coming soon.

I routinely leave groups with big ships in the VSE and decided to put every exploiter on ignore for good. Given how apathetic Cryptic has been towards this issue (Fix supposedly on Tribble, but nothing in the Holodeck patch notes yet...), my only protection against these clowns is not to bother with them ever again.

Of course there are still plenty of incompetent muppets around to make the event needlessly challenging. Those guys are the real attraction.

PS. Whats vault event like. Never seem to be on time for ONE! Throws CRYPTIC a mean foul look!
