Things which haven't changed are the aspects of verbal or physical abuse which tend to be the MO of people with bipolar disorder. If you have the patience and the "hit points" for it, by all means go for it with this girl. Based on my personal experience with at least 3 different people in my life (a relative, an animal handler, and a romantic interest,) I really can't recommend it....not at all.
