a possible solution for you:

1. get on a team.
2. carry team batteries
3. bring some subnukes, extends, and some spike damage.
4. focus on the same target.

have fun kill bad guys

okay, try #2.....

make sure you are spec'd into insulators and electro plasma and what not, whatever may counter the drain. maybe even throw in an extra EPS console for good measure. and use your batteries.

also, having a team is definetly a solution to the other guys running crap you dont like. if you are bringing the damage, then find an extends and a nuke to start hanging out with.

teamwork trumps gear in most, if not all situations.

pandas do not use AMS, but we counter it by running sci teams. think along those lines.

p.s. i was actually tring to help. whats up with all the snide attitudes flaring up again in the forums lately?

what is wrong with my answer? i used the same structure as you, a numbered list lol

I never asked how to counter, ofc than teamwork works, is the key for win, but that have nothing to do with the unbalance of the console. Any other skill/consumale that gives u boost to energy/power transfer rate/insulators will help, but that is not the point.

My post is about the balance of the console, nothing less, nothing more, i never asked how to counter (or try to counter...), anyway all your solutions have a weak point, i was running my dkora: Electroplasma on 6 and a EPS Flow MK XII purple, and PI on 6 (+plus deflector bonus to PI),and my power was still drained in an insane way, and i usually use batteries for other things (shield bat. for shield proc, weapons bat. for BO, etc..and they only boost 1 system - with a significant CD-)
And teamwork with SCI team? ok, i can say to u the same about AMS then..

It is a ridiculously powerful passive. It debuffs the target, or multiple targets, while buffing the user for doing nothing more than pew pewing. Coupled with any one of the other drains, like the Assimilators, it is especially painful. I don't understand the point of all of these really strong passives that cost the user nothing.

It could be argued that MACO counters it but MACO has a cap and doesn't improve with more people attacking.

In my opinion either the stacking from multiple sources should be disabled or leech should not work in combination with AOE abilities like FAW and CSV.

honestly man its just one of those things right now.

like hale just said "Coupled with any one of the other drains, like the Assimilators, it is especially painful"

i doubt it will be changed anytime soon, and sometimes its easier to pick your poison, and antidote.

q up for klingons...be prepared to counter their weapons

q up for feds....same.

i queue up for fvk all the time and never even notice the thing unless some carrier is jacking you up with assimilators. running epts and eptw is also a solid counter. but in the end, if a 5 man klingon team wants to beat you through power drain, they will do so by running this. you can either q up and try to beat them at their own game (this is what i like to do) or you can throw yourself into the buzzsaw to get tore up by not being prepared.

Too much of anything is a bad thing. But to be fair,

I've been running into my fair share of

1.) Entire teams spamming AMS. Premades are my favourite culprits because they understand team dynamics + v.chat, and therefore fire them off in series and not parallel, making it virtually impossible to play.
2.) Danube swarm.

The sword swings both ways...

I would really love to see ALL these issues addressed, not just some to appease the majority.
