I run 2 of those in my oddy and i still lose crew. One time i was at 100 shield strength but died because all of my crew but 2 crew sillouette things were orange. That shield strength was maintained during the whole event.

Now i can run the same in my tac escort and barely lose any.

So it would seem that most the people who have posted are on the same page as me with kinetic damage and crew...

Whew... More input would still be nice...

most of our non DO and BO crew must be holograms or something and routinely get their holo-emitters busted up by battle damage. and the crew regeneration is really how far along the non-holograms are in fixing the emitters.

Strangely due to how this mechanic works, having a large crew is a DISADVANTAGE. Crew is regenerated by percent, the more crew you have the faster they come back. Since the less crew you have the bigger the percentage each crew member is worth. I.e. if you have 500 crew your crew will regenerate faster than a ship with 2500 because you have less to lose, and less to get back.

Very poorly implemented mechanic. :p

A couple of points for the two of you.

1) The biofunction monitor does nothing for your survival.
2) The biofunction monitor does not prevent you from losing crew, it only helps regen crew faster.
3) The console that increases the crew's resistance to damage is the emergency force field console.

Tac team needs to give crew back like it always did instead of this shield buff it gives... That should be on Science team anyways since they moved the consoles to science anyways (+18 and +20 to shield capacity)

i agree the crew die very fast too fast would be nice if they had alittle more surviablity .

quite anoying on very small crew ships.
