Dear members ive been hearing a lot of stuff regarding new ship skins and star bases but when are they going to release proper bridges like in the TV series and films? I do appologies if ive missed any threads and posts but im very disapointed at the lack of choice when it comes to choosing your bridges and i would like to see them upgrade and add a lot more real star trek bridges instead of the very disapointed ones they have so far? If anyone has any more info regarding this issue i would be very grateful to hear what has been said and i would appreciate any help to my question, Thanks for taking the time to read my moan!!!!! To be fair, some of them are great - I use the Belfast bridge f (which is as good an exact replica of the Defiant's bridge from Deep Space Nine as is possible) from the Deep Space Nine bundle. It also comes with the Defiant's other interior areas, including engineering.

The Prometheus bridge is pretty great too, and again looks a lot like what we saw in the Voyager epside 'Message in a Bottle' (though it can be altered/taylored to suit one's personal taste.

The Odyssey bridge is pretty excellent too - just wish that the ready room door would close, and the BOFF's wouldn't stand off to the side doing nothing!

there are actually, the TOS interiour is cool, the Belfast is basically a defiant interiour.

and there are several bridges from the shows that are more or less accurate. galaxy class bridge, sovereign class bridge, even the voyager bridge is somewhere available.

even some klingon bridges are copies of the ones seen in films and series.

In my opinion there are not many bridges missing, that were shown in the series or films.

if you progress through the ranks, more bridge options open up. Idon't know what level your chars are, but at VA you have a fairly long list of choices, most of them accurate duplications of the original bridges.

I do remember a bridge costume that looked almost exactly like the bridge from Voyager and I think I even bought the pack, but now I can't seem to find it. There are problems with some of the bridges though. Like the Vivid Bridge? I bought it cause the carpet was a bright red but now it's a beige color. I've submitted tickets to fix it but so far I haven't gotten a response.

Aye...the Constitution bridge is an almost exact replica of the TOS bridge, and the C-Store bridges based on the Galaxy class feature one that is very close to the original. The Warship bridges aren't too bad (aside from the Defiant diagram behind the Command Chair), and even the default bridge isn't a total waste. I don't have the Belfast bridge, so I can't speak to it, but I do find the Aquarius bridge that is exclusive to the C-Store Odyssey class to be among my favorites.

What I -really- wish we had was more -interiors-. Right now, almost every Federation ship, from a small Escort up to the huge Star Cruisers, are built with the same massively wide corridors that seem more like cargo bays than standard passages on a ship....and a long run to get anywhere. I have trouble visuallizing such a layout on my Excelsior when I could tell from the original media (and even the ship interiors of TNG) that such corridors simply wouldn't fit in the hull (without leaving virtually nothing left for actual systems). That, and there seem to be 20-40 people always walkiing through a single passage, which means almost the entire crew is shoulder-to-shoulder bouncing off the walls if you select the small interior.

The Constitution Interiors are far more believable, and I assume the Belfast is the same. But only three choices, when we have over twenty bridges that are clearly the result of different size hulls? We need alot more choices for interiors that match the ship types, more than we need more bridges in my opinion.

Many thanks for all your replies as they are much appreciated and I fully understand that there's some good Bridges as i've been playing solid since free to play but I cant understand why they can't add Bridges from the Enterprise A, Excelsior, and the Excelsior Re-fit from all the films? Is it due to copyright issues or a legal thing? Im a trekie and absolutely love STO but it's a great disapointment when you can't get the real Bridges that go to the ships that i have bought and selected( Using Excelsior Re-fit at the moment) and there's nothing more disapointing when you know the Bridges you are offered ain't the ones that go to that particular ship. I also play Bridge Commander and when you get to see a game as old as that with far more better modded Bridges and types of ships it seems a shame that we can't get them for a great game like STO!!! Please Cryptic update the Bridges as well as ship costumes so that we have the option to have the correct Bridges for the correct ship and also different variants!!!!! I'm sure i'm not the only one who is solely disapointed and it would be a great feature and bonus if we could have the Bridges that are ment to be with that particular ship in the star trek universe!!!! Once again thanks for all your replies and hopefully someone at cryptic will make a bold decision to upgrade the bridges as well as the ship costumes and fleet stations. Many thanks again for replying and for reading my thread!!! Hicks

My favorite thus far is the Prometheus bridge styles. It isn't gigantic and your officers are in places that make sense most of the time, also when you increase the amount of bridge officers you have it really looks awesome to see all the stations filled. Another bridge that is nice for the very large ships are the Emissary styles.

I agree with most of this except you adding the sovereign bridge. That isn't even close to accurate. The consoles have a simular style, but the layout is completely wrong and the bridge is way too big. Overall though, there are a few that are close or good, but they really do need to come up with more, or the ability to have us make our own bridges.

Scaling just seems wrong on all the bridges.

You know the bridge is too big when the captain (Shon) has to get out of his command chair and walk over to tactical to tell the officer to fire.

Edit: The Klingon bridges are a lot better in this regard.

yeah, klingon bridges seem to have better scaling, but are also too big. Fed bridges are way off, except the bundle bridges (TOS, and belfast). they are newer and i think they fired the guy responsible for the scaling and hired a new one^^
