I don't have the Belfast bridge, so I can't speak to it, but I do find the Aquarius bridge that is exclusive to the C-Store Odyssey class to be among my favorites.

What I -really- wish we had was more -interiors-. Right now, almost every Federation ship, from a small Escort up to the huge Star Cruisers, are built with the same massively wide corridors that seem more like cargo bays than standard passages on a ship....and a long run to get anywhere. I have trouble visuallizing such a layout on my Excelsior when I could tell from the original media (and even the ship interiors of TNG) that such corridors simply wouldn't fit in the hull (without leaving virtually nothing left for actual systems). That, and there seem to be 20-40 people always walkiing through a single passage, which means almost the entire crew is shoulder-to-shoulder bouncing off the walls if you select the small interior.

The Constitution Interiors are far more believable, and I assume the Belfast is the same. But only three choices, when we have over twenty bridges that are clearly the result of different size hulls? We need alot more choices for interiors that match the ship types, more than we need more bridges in my opinion.
You do know you can set the corridor layout to small, medium or large right?
Ok you still have that MASSIVE lounge, and a soverign class warp core, which looks stupid on an escort. But at least the corridors aren't the size of railway tunnels if you set the layout to small.

It's the scaling of the bridge that puts me off.

Compare the sizing of the Bridge Commander game's bridges to STO and the problem is evident. STO bridges are so big there's none of the sense of intimacy associated with a close-knit bridge crew. I mean, that tactical officer is sitting like 10 meters away from the Captain's chair here.

That said, TOS interior rocks. I haven't got a chance to visit a Belfast yet. (Ingame invite pls :3)

As I noted in the quote you posted, if you select a small layout, you end up with a mob of crew bouncing off each other and the walls of the corridors as the game attempts to place the same number of NPCs in a smaller area. And no, all that does is drop the size of the layout, not the actual width of the corridors (and the Medium is supposed to be the most common size, say of an Intrepid or Olympic...and it looks like it wouldn't fit in anything short of an Odyssey). Still doesn't seem like the kind of interior you'd see on a ship.

That's what i was thinking how come the new constitution cruiser's do'nt have the bridge that was meant for thier class like in the motion picture how come we have to settle on the promethius bridge and why does'nt the odyssey star cruiser does'nt have the aquarius bridge option as with the flagship's hmmm i mean the TOS consttution cruiser's have thier original bridge's from the 60's oh well i guess the developer's at cryptic studious just can not leave the crack or the weed alone "because us" the customer is alway's right....

i terms of scale all interiors are far to big from waht i have seen.
the coridors are so big i could use a shuttel in them. but in engeniering ther is one thing that is insane on both sides are leaders with the beams over a meter apart. why is everything is twice a large as it has to be.

There apparently used to be camera clipping issues in an earlier version of the STO game engine, hence the oversized interiors. Obviously the interiors weren't updated as the rest of the game progressed.

Huge corridors are canon in some ships though - you could for instance fly a Scorpion fighter through the corridors of Scimitar class

The main problem I have with bridges in this game is they are so freaking HUGE!!! I mean, the default Oddy bridge is the size of an entire Defiant class ship, LOL. The interiors just do not seem in scale with the ships sizes from the show. Engineering in my Defiant looks like it belongs in a Galaxy class...

The best bridges are, to me, the Belfast and Aquarius bridges.
There is no exact replica of TV shows briges, besides TOS Enterprise (Galaxy and Intrepid are slightly different from show versions, not counting the Intrepid variants which has almost no relation to the original one). Prometheus Bridges are also quite close to original.

It's exactly that. If CBS/Paramount says no go, then it doesn't go. Harsh, yes, but at the same time, brilliant, since they know we'll pay for it when they do give the go-ahead. If they dropped the Excelsior-class bridge on the C-store tomorrow, I'd drop the coin for it.

Once again I would like to say thanks for all your replies regarding my thread on the lack of what i would say as real Star Trek Bridges that are on offer to date. I'm pleased to see I'm not the only one who has issues regarding the available Bridges and ship layouts so far and it would be great if we could all get together to do a thread were we could make Cryptic listen to our frustrations when it comes to a lack of 100% perfect replica's of our favorite Bridges from all the films and tv serieses. Surley the management must of known there would be die hard fans like us who would vent our frustrations at the lack of proper Bridges instead of some of the really poor ones on offer so far and Bridges that have no relation to the ships we are using on STO. It can't be that difficult to get them updated in the next few months as i'm sure it would only be a massive bonus to Cryptic and STO if they were able to get some new ones in for us to buy or choose when we get our favorite ships to play a great game that we all love and lets face it are not far of addicted to or are addicted to!!!!! Please members add your frustrations no matter how long or short as i'm sure the more of us who make a comment or comments the more chance Cryptic will have to take a look as we are the ones who make the game what it is and we are the ones that cryptic are trying to please when it comes to them releasing certain develepments as the game grows from strenth to strenth. I dont like knocking the game but i know that me as well as other members want the game to be as 100% close to the real thing as cryptic can get it and lets face it if Bridge commander and all of its great mods by dedicated Trekies can do it to near perfection surely Cryptic and the STO team can do it but even better especialy with the bigger budget that they get from all of the STO members who pay good money to play the game they love!!! I for one would not hessitate to buy them if that was the way to get them like the ones on offer already and im 100% sure there would be god knows how many other members who would do the same. Well I hope the next time I check my thread there will be even more comments and frustrations being vented as the more members who reply the more chance we have to get the bridges that we all want when we play the game we all love and enjoy!!!!! Thanks again Hicks
