This I think is one of the most useful changes to the Foundry to come with this update. Objects can now be treated like NPC contacts. You can have the player use an object and have a dialog popup which can have a success or failure. Puzzle makers rejoice! No more reskinning NPC contacts as consoles or that annoying "Talk to Console."
I remember in the past people have had problems where an NPC contact would die and then you couldnt talk to them. I havent tried it, but can you skin objects as NPCs? If so, then by doing that and using this dialog with object NPC you could create unkillable NPC contacts.

It is, but it doesn't quite work right. The visible parts of the station are still weirdly greyed out.

Another thing that I found was that the new object limit was 475 - NPC contacts and NPC groups are still at 25 though.

By and large this looks good. It would have been very nice if a "Current Player" costume had been added to allow captains to have proper dialogues and I am concerned that the new map transitions will screw-up existing missions but I guess we'll just have to wait and see on that score.

They finally fixed that bug when a Dev made a mission and had it happen to him.

No, they are still very much normal objects, they still glow to interact and have no connection with combat other than to be a wall. They even still glow to interact vs. the "i" icon.

But it is freaking useful for making puzzles. I had a console that had a dialog that had an option to lower a forcefield. However that option was hidden until you went over to another panel to "Engage the Emergency Bypass" and unlocked it.

Have they updated any other maps in addition to Utopia Planitia? Last time I checked the Sol System and DS9 space maps, and Earth Space Dock and DS9 interior maps were still out of date, and we still didn't even have a Starfleet Academy map!

At the risk of spoiling players of my missions, the status of the three Earth maps (system space, Space Dock and the Academy) are going to weigh heavily on what I can and cannot do with "Ghosts of War, Part V".
