It is. Personally, I never got to it. Me and a group managed to get to Wave 9, and the transport was promptly destroyed in, I kid you not, 5 seconds.
And that was just against Klingons, whom I think are one of the easier of the enemies that can be generated.
Warped in with no less than six carriers, ten battleships, and too many escorts, BoP's, and fighters than I could count in the short span of time we had before they utterly ruined the transport.
So, while it technically is possible to win the "no win scenario", in practice, it is far harder than it looks.
I don't even think I've heard of anyone making it to Wave 10, much less beating it.

I don't think there will be borg in No Win Scenario,don't know yet.
Yes there is death/respawn timer,but it depends on what wave did you die.
If you died in wave 7 you will need 30 seconds to respawn.
So the bigger wave the more time you will have to respawn.
These "rewards distribution" will be if there is a person who didn't contribute to the mission(just sitting and waiting for final loot,stay cloak and do nothing)won't get the rewards and final loot.This will make those kind of players to either be a team player and contribute team or be a douche and won't get the final loot.
So that's your answer about "rewards" distributed.
And theres also a KICK VOTE but only for private queves.

Methinks FAW+Cannon Scatter Volley+Spread+Gravity well is gonna be the big skills for this So many targets and torps to intercept.... This will be fun indeed
