They are the best blockade ships in an stf, imo.
For infect make sure to recall your fighters early so you don't pop a generator too soon.

For pvp its a pure support ship. Its damage abilities are highly limited, mostly you heal/debuff.

That said in terms of value get a klink get a voquv for free, then buy a dracoit fdc for Orion interceptors.
You spend less money get an all around better carrier with access to better p2w consoles, and functional flight deck doffs.

It's a decent carrier... worth 2k? A matter of opinion..... not to me... to others I'm sure....

If it had a unique bridge maybe, but as is I would only buy it if it was 1600cpoints. If you only care about gameplay, then sure I think you'll be adequately satisfied.

STFS do not need carriers they need CRUISERS
They dont have them set up right then.

Im frequently first in terms of dps at 4k+ just sitting back and letting the fighters do the work, pressing spacebar every so often. Ive got plenty of heals for the escorts and grav wells for probes. If I am sent to take care of probes on the other side in KA, ill have killed the cube and one transformers at 50% by the time they are done on the other side. Its quite versatile...since this is with my pvp setup minus the grav well.
(elite btw)

I think the carriers you are complaining about are using the base stalker fighters. You really need peregrines for the torpedoes.

I was thinking that also, I'm very disappointed in Cryptic selling a new one of a kind Federation ship for 2K and they couldn't even make a bridge for it like they did for the new Odyssey.

Exactly. Use the pet commands, and it's not a problem.

Plus, the Runabouts seem better at stopping Nanites than Orion Interceptors (the KDF CC pet), IMO. Maybe others have seen otherwise, but the Chronitons & Target Engine on the Interceptors just don't do enough versus the Tractors on the Runabouts.

I'm more effective in my B'rel, anyhow. I can deploy more CC faster with the B'rel.

...

Also, think of the Cat Carrier this way... the Vo'quv may be free, but the pet selection is really limited. You have a lot of options that can fill a variety of roles with the Cat Carrier, including 2 pretty nice Fighter/DPS ships with the Kitten stalkers & the Peregrines. There's less fear of overlap (since some people have said that carriers fielding identical pets may run into AI issues).

The biggest problem is that Starfleet sucks at gathering Dilithium for the advanced pets.

When there is a sale, it will probably be excluded.

And to answer your question, no, it's not worth it, at least not to me.

In a normal infected space with 3 of those carriers, we literally destroyed the gateway before we even touched the second transformer or it's generators.

I'd say they are good for stfs, especially in the right hands. Now, of course, you can have a great ship with a **** player and it'll suck. But that's players fault not ships.

just ran an ISE and KASE in my atrox when there were at least 1-2 other carriers, either Atrox's or Vo'Quv's. ISE was with 1 other Atrox and we finished with the optional. KASE Was with another Atrox and Vo'quv, we beat it in about 17 minutes, missed the optional, but still had no trouble with it.

If it took 3 hours with 3 atroxs they have never played KDF and tried their carriers first. they were total Carrier noobs and had no idea what they were doing. most of the other Atrox players i played with were competent and knew what they were doing. these three obviously DIDN'T. they should learn how to use their ship before doing Elite STF's if they have never played that style of ship before.
