If I'm not mistaken CaptainGeko still controls what ships DO. Miller creates a model and a costume that has little to no bearing on pvp.

Sorry, I have to call BS on this. Designing ships and figuring what the nacells are going to look like, or if the saucer is going to be circular or oval has no effect on PVP. He doesn't figure out the stats or abilities of the ships.

Miller is a ship artist. He has no say in what powers, BO slots, or stats a ship has. All of those are determined by Al Rivera (a.k.a CaptainGeko) who is in charge of ship power balancing. If you feel that a ship has unbalanced things, he's the dev you need to talk to.

Let me clarify, Miller makes ship models. He does not determine the stats of these ships or any other aspect of game play. The only aspect of STO he affects is aesthetics and he does a damn good job at it btw.

Yep, closest a ship artist will probably get to systems/dev is placing weapons hardpoints in the model for the systems/dev team to hook up to.

Please understand I'm on the art side of things. I have no choice in powers at all.

I do agree with you that ships do effect how PvP runs. I know that our PvP guy is hard at work on new systems. When that's at a point of completion, I'm pretty sure there will be some sort of balancing going on.

I do have max level characters both Fed and KDF, although I haven't gotten into PvP. No mater what mmo it is wow, rift, swtor.....I have never gotten into PvP. Its just not my cup of tea. Id rather get a bunch of friends together and do some co-op.

Aside from the fact that a Carrier, no matter its base design, with the maneuverability of an Escort is just absurd and insulting. It gives up nothing for the ability to launch fighters. Its base turn rate should be reduced.

Excuse me, but Feds aren't the only whiners here. You that choose to play KDF are without a doubt the most prolific whiners. All you DO is whine. You're fortunate that the KDF faction even exists, even though it isn't as fleshed-out as the Feds.

Shame that the new akira will be a carrier as i was talking to a friend and we agree it is op and the carrier part of it shouldn't be on this at all.
