I would like to suggest / request the following vessel for the KDF

"Bat'leth class counter measures cruiser" (place holder name only)

Designed similar in size and style to the classic D7 but slightly more modern looking this vessel would have normal levels of hull for a T5 vessel
And normal shields

the difference would be in the rig out
Im asking for
Boff slots
Lt com tactical Lt Eng
Commander Sci , Lt sci
(anything more is gravy)

console slots
3 Science
3 Eng
3 Tac

And its own special console
"Rapid fire disruptor point defence system"
identical in effect to the thunderchild console (only with disruptors)

I beileve this (coupled with the better general quality of Klingon warriors) would be an effective counter ship to this torpedo spamming hunk of tin


anyone got a better Idea?

It's an escort carrier. If you run power levels like an escort, you will not be popping out pets very fast. If you run your aux like a carrier, you won't be hitting very hard. A good sub nuke from a science captain, beam target aux, power siphon, and plasmonic leech, this new ship will be a third tier Akira all over again.

No it'll be a Fleet Escort

It's the T5 Akira the Feds wanted it's Eng version of the MVAE, it's got a fantastic suicide method (Torpedoing everything in sight will kill the fool in an STF) and it's bonus is the Fighters. I'm a little concerned that 30s fighters are far better than 5 minutes for a pair of vectors, Even without Carrier Commands.

I guess we'll have to wait and see, this ship will be an advantage to a good player but a noob will still be a noob. Can't wait till they start asking for a 2nd Hanger and Unique fighters for it.

Edit: And let's not forget it needs to launch a Frigate to because the Kar'Fi does... (ugh Fed Logic hurts my Head)

The best counter is doing something like a bright red flash animation for when a B'rel fires torpedoes out of the front of it and only decloaks when using specific skills that make it decloak currently.

As well on side note is each faction has counters to teleporting but the federation does not have a teleport ability although the devs believed that only KDF consoles deserves counters in skills but we do not have any counters to any of their abilities as well as everything being copied and pasted we do not have skills for our class only that reflect the empire in all its glory.

In essence we need the devs to be able to show balance to not just the federation but the KDF as well. Not saying the devs do not listen but it appears they only listen to you when your UI is bright blue.

FYI for anyone who thinks the animation flashing red would be breaking any balance... Look at this new fed ship then look at how they have a console to decloak a cloaked ship and then look at all the abilities that can decloak a ship and ask yourself how could it be currently balanced when all the odds are in favor of the federation when it needs to be more canon anyways. There is no merit in saying that it would be too OP with no way to decloak a B'rel with all the options federation players have in their arsenal.

I'm betting that that Point Defense Console is going to be in the next lockboxes since they gave the Federation the Theta Console.


If there would be a new KDF console on a ship it would be "Klingon Guile". Which for those who forgot, it was during the War Games with the Hathaway that Worf bluffed the Enterprise D's sensors with ghosts, giving the Hathaway a chance to attack. So I could see something like a combination of the Rhode Island Console with somekind of strike capability (perhaps a Target Subsystem Attack).



As for a new Ships, Probably that Engineering Raptor we been wanting for sometime.

If I could pick a new KDF ship, it would be some form of hyper torpedo boat. Something with like one or two rear weapons, four forward weapons and some innate skill that severely reduces the refresh time on torpedoes.

Personally i think a raptor with single hanger as a KDF escort carrier would be workable
