AGreed. JJ does a good job with good scripts. He tends to go overboard with the lens flare a bit. Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman should be banned from ever penning another ST script.

Hey, they have done Turkish Star Trek (link) already. I don't see how Uwe Boll and his band of German investors who hire him to do films as a corporate tax right off could do worse.

May I ask why not Moffat? Some of the Doctor Who stuff, sure, but the man who brought out Sherlock!?

I've ever watched Sherlock, it just doesn't appeal to me.
He and his terrible cast killed Doctor Who (which I think only has two good seasons - 3 and 4 - but I'm more of a Torchwood fan personally)

Love Stephen Moffat, Sherlock is amazing. I want a Whedon/Moffat writing collabo. Whedon can direct.

I wanted to say I like Jonathan Frakes too , but you ppl can't be serious. If you had a pick of any director you would choose him? C'mon!

On the flip side if we want to totally destroy Trek, let's hire M night

Frakes directed First Contact, there is no finer Trek film.
