Can we have the option to remove/delete the Annoucement tab.. the lockbox/loot spam is somewhat.... annoying.

You mean the yellow text going across the screen? Have had that option for months.

ESC -> Options -> Basic -> Enable Gameplay Announcement Flybys -> set to off

The gameplay announcements seen in the actual tab are tied to the System channel. Which can be turned off. But doing so misses all the more relevant stuff we may actually want to read.

Like when my shields are down.... in case that visual guide in the middle of the screen is missed.

I get my first officer moaning about that when that happens.
