Sincalire sits in the room. Focusing. He can feel the darkness and he focuses on it. He appears in shadows mind.

So you have made your return i see. Surely you know the outcome will be no different. I am still here and have learned more since our last encounter. What do you hope to gain. These people will not be stopped.

Dorza: *Takes the conversation to a neutral place.* Ohhhh. Look at the big bad guardian... You have learned from last time huh? From the looks of it *stares at the guadian's mental projection.* Tsk tsk. You need to talk to that fashion designer because you look a bit fat. You have no idea what we are doing right now do you? Does that frighten you little shedai bastard? It is never about stopping them only in bringing balance to things. So where have you been hiding rat? In your tiny cubby hole? Go run back in there, because you know I can kill you like I have killed many of your kind.

*Space outside Deep Space Nine. The Battle is still raging on but it is not going well *

*USS Possibility *

Dorman: Are they firing on the station again?

Izumi: Yes sir. Its structural integrity is falling. It won't take much more of this.

Dorman: What is the status of the dreadnaught?

Ops: It is moderately damaged but is hanging on. Their weapons systems are damaged along with their propulsion. They still can't use the cannon.

Dorman: We need to find some way to take it out. Have any cruisers focus their fire on the dreadnaught itself. Use the attack vessels to do their attack runs. Have any escorts keep the smaller craft away from Deep Space Nine.

*IKS Katinga*

Kah: Keep up the firing. We need to protect the station from any more attacks. Follow the Captain's advice and have our smaller ships protect the station and use the Birds for their attack runs.

*The Allied vessels continue their assault on the dreadnaught, while a contingent of them is protecting DS9 itself from enemy fire.*

Dorza: Oh dear little coy friend. I know more than you think I do. I gather your absence in the veil must have soften and dulled your mind. Too bad too you used to be more intelligent than this. Oh well. I must attend to something.

*The Conversation ends. The Alien forces have arrived with 2 dreadnaughts and enough ships to reinforce the weakened attack fleet. Elsewhere the Mass Driver has been captured, the asteroid chosen and fired... at Earth.*

Dorza: Plot in a course to Federation Space. Ignore the pathetic Klingons. I Have something else in store for them.. *grins*

*Klingon Space.*

*Cries of battle erupt on the subspace communications as they are attacked by another Force. Romulan forces by the look of the ships but they are radically different. Heading it is the brother of the late Sre'Tra.*

*A Shadows voice rings in his head destroy them all.*

Yes Soval, you might want to make haste. *tosses him a medical kit* just in case.

*Allen's Corporeal form appears and looks on at his creation evolved.*

It appears that Galeni has been taken on the right path. I thank you for that old friends. These beings are the ones I was trying to get everyone ready for during the Civil War... But it appears you all are doing just fine even with my limited assistance.
*Facility 4028, Bravo Holding Wing. Soval and T'las are waiting outside a cell as the Station Warden Phases into existence next to them.*

Warden: You are cleared to proceed, Admiral. I must say, it's not often we get prisoners who attempted to destroy a planet. Her trial is scheduled... Strange. Starfleet Security has declared that there will be no trial. She's here for "psychiatric care"?

Soval: That remains to be seen. T'las, perhaps you should remain out here.

T'las: Better idea. She's more hostile to you than me. I'll go.

Warden: There's a forcefield separating you two, so don't worry about an attempted escape.

*The hatch to the cell opens, and DeSalle can be seen sitting on a steel chair behind a forcefield. There's a Small food replicator on the Right wall and a basic cot on the back wall. T'las enters the cell and stops about a meter short of the security Forcefield. The hatch closes behind her and a slam can be heard as it locks. Soval turns to the warden.*

Soval: What about your other guest?

Warden: You mean the Vorta? He is in the Minimum Security Cell Block. He turned himself into Federation Custody a few weeks ago. You think he knew about the apparent Coup-de-tat in the Dominion?

Soval: The timing seems too convenient to be otherwise.

Warden: I'll lead you to him.

*Inside DeSalle's Cell*

T'las: Well?

DeSalle: What? Did you come to gloat?

T'las: Cut the crap, Jessica! You know why I'm here!

DeSalle: *Sighs* I'm not insane.

T'las: That, I believe. *Activates her Phaser* What happened?

DeSalle: Something... *grasps head* was... controlling me! I didn't realise what I was doing.

T'las: You seemed to realise you were beating the crap outta me pretty well.

DeSalle: Are you surprised?

T'las: Honestly, no. What, you expect me to believe you didn't WANT to destroy Vulcan?

DeSalle: It's more complicated than that! I can't really explain it... What's with the phaser?

T'las: Precaution.

DeSalle: You're behind a forcefield!

T'las: Computer, disengage forcefield. Authorisation T'las Alpha 9 4 5 Kappa.

*The Forcefield drops*

DeSalle: What are you--?

T'las: Do you trust me? *kneels next to DeSalle*

DeSalle: You sure that's a good idea? I could just take your phaser and shoot you right now.

T'las: Go ahead and try. It's bio-metrically encoded to my DNA.

DeSalle: You won't like what you see.

T'las: I'll worry about that. Are you gonna let me do this or not?

DeSalle: Go ahead.

*T'las places both hands on DeSalle's face, in position for a Vulcan Mind Meld.*

T'las: My mind to your mind...

*Another cell in the prison. Much more luxurious than DeSalle's without the Heavy duty Security Hatch. There is a Vorta sitting on a chair inside.*

Soval: You knew about the Shadow takeover of the Dominion, didn't you?

Vorta: Take the ruling hand out of the equation. What controls the glass?

*The Warden facepalms*

Warden: You're wasting your time Admiral. He's got less sense than a Klingon after 500 glasses of Bloodwine.

Soval: Anarchy. *The Vorta looks up.* If you remove the hand that controls the glass, the glass is controlled by Gravity, Friction, Kinetic Energy, but nothing is balancing or counteracting those forces. You have anarchy.

Vorta: A vacuum of centralised control.

Soval: Without one ruling body, there is chaos.

Vorta: Precisely! *Looks at the Warden.*

Soval: Leave us. *The Warden walks out*

Vorta: It's been some time since I've had someone at my equal in intellect, Admiral...?

Soval: My name is unimportant. Telling it to you would only give you the advantage over me.

Vorta: *Smiles* Good. Good! Now, to your question. I felt something was wrong with the Founder, and I made my way to the homeworld. I was turned away by the Jem'Hadar who'd claimed that the Homeworld was under Quarantine.

Soval: But?

Vorta: The Founders always issue quarantine orders themselves, from the planet.

Soval: So you fled to the Federation, hoping we would help?

Vorta: I was heading for Terok Nor when I was ordered to activate my... termination implant.

Soval: Why didn't you?

Vorta: Betray an order from the gods and save the gods, or obey the order, and condemn the gods to damnation? What would you choose?

Soval: The lesser of the two evils.

Vorta: And that is what I've done.

Soval: Where's the Founders' Homeworld?

Vorta: You truly expect me to tell you?

Soval: Let me put it this way. In 3 hours I'm going to send a transmission to the front telling them you've agreed to direct us to the Founders' Homeworld. Unfortunately, the Comm. Array's going to malfunction and broadcast on an open frequency, and your people will here it. They'll come here and blow us all to kingdom come. *Gestures an explosion with his hands* Boom.

Vorta: G-497 Alpha System. The Fourth Planet. The code for the defence grid is 4-9-A-G-8-C.

Soval: Thank you.

*DeSalle's Cell. T'las is still engaged in the mind meld with DeSalle. When she does break the meld, she walks toward the hatch and re-activates the forcefield.*

DeSalle: Did you get what you need?

T'las: I'll talk to Starfleet for you. Try and convince them to send you to a lower security facility. *Presses a control to call for a Holo-guard to open the hatch.* I'm not making any promises.

DeSalle: I don't think you should talk to them at all. I'm right where I need to be: locked away.

T'las: You weren't responsible for your actions.

DeSalle: Says you.

T'las: Says your mind.

DeSalle: Maybe I am insane. Maybe I imagined the whole thing. Did you think of that? *The lights fail and the forcefield drops.* And there it is. Now I'm hallucinating.

T'las: If your hallucinating, then I must be having the same hallucination. *Looks out into the corridor. A look of concern, and even a little fear, shows on her face.* Not again.

DeSalle: What?

T'las: Your forcefield's down. The security system's down.

DeSalle: So I could escape?

T'las: Don't even try it! *grabs her phaser, noticing that's it's offline as well.* Oh, fantastic! Someone's thrown up a dampening field!

DeSalle: What do you know? I'm free!

T'las: The Door's still locked, Jessica. The only manual release is OUTSIDE!

DeSalle: The locking bars are hydraulic?

T'las: Yeah, so?

DeSalle: If power's out, what's pressurising the hydraulic fluid? *There's a slam as the hydraulics release on the door*

T'las: Oh no. *Turns around for a second, trying to seal the hatch with the manual override on that side. (Basically, it's a metal bolt pinning into the side of the door. Yes, you read that right. A max-security cell and the only thing keeping it locked in a power outage is a metal bolt.) When she's done that, she twists 'round and lifts her fists up into a fighting stance, only to see DeSalle is tapping the Replicator screen*

DeSalle: What do ya know? There's a dampening field in operation! The Replicator's emergency generator's not working.

T'las: What are you doing? *Relaxes, though keeping her arms ready to shift back for a fight.*

DeSalle: Well, I WAS going to get a Raktajino, but...

T'las: A rakta...? You can escape from the most secure prison in the Federation and all you're worried about is getting your Caffeine fix?!

DeSalle: No! I always have Decaf.

T'las: You are the most...

DeSalle: What part of "I don't want to be transferred to a nicer prison" didn't click in your head?

T'las: You want me to tell Starfleet that your insane. I can't do that because I don't believe it.

DeSalle: Well, here's something you'll want to believe. The security system's offline, which means every forcefield in this place is down, including the footbridges in the High-security Prison Blocks. But, that also means that every Security hatch is unlocked and accessible with the Manual override. The Prison Guards are offline. The Comm.s are offline. Your phaser is being dampened. Every prisoner is free to move about their cell block freely.

T'las: Oh my god.

DeSalle: And a few of those prisoners in Low-Sec were due to be transferred to High-Sec. Where did you say Soval was going again? *Opens an access panel below the replicator and taps a few controls, bringing the replicator to life.*

T'las: Hold on. How did you do that?

DeSalle: Raktajino, decaf. How did I do what?

T'las: The replicator.

DeSalle: I just adjusted the power generator to match the frequency of the dampening field. *A raktajino appears in the replicator alcove* Thank you. *She picks up the Coffee and takes a sip* Ah. Gotta hand it to the Klingons, they do know how to make good decaf!

T'las: Can you do that with my phaser?

DeSalle: I don't think phasers can make coffee.

T'las: I meant the dampening field.

DeSalle: Oh. Yeah, sure. Why not?

*T'las hands the phaser towards her.*

What?

T'las: You just said--

DeSalle: I said I COULD adjust your phaser. I didn't say I WOULD adjust it.

T'las *Annoyed*: Jessica!

DeSalle: You seem to be forgetting that... *Gestures to the walls around her* I'm a convict!

T'las *More annoyed*: A convict who I happen to trust. Fine. What's the frequency? *Opens her phaser access port*

DeSalle: Huh? For what?

T'las *Really annoyed*: JESSICA!

DeSalle: What? You think I'm gonna help you so I can be moved down from Super-max-sec to high-sec or lower? No. I'm happy here. *Takes another sip of her coffee.*

T'las *Really, REALLY annoyed*: Give me that! *Grabs the Coffee and throws it into the replicator. When the mug smashes against the replicator, it dematerialises the debris and liquid*

DeSalle: I was drinking that! *Moves to press a control on the replicator, when T'las just grabs her arm and pushes it to her side*

T'las *Furious*: You're going to reprogram this phaser, or I'm going to start breaking bones.

DeSalle *Agitated*: Is that a fact? *Tries to pull T'las' arm off of hers, which only succeeds in making T'las snap and punch her in the face, sending her back about a meter. T'las raises her arms into a fighting position.* Alright. *Recovers* Alright. Give me your phaser.

*T'las passes DeSalle the open phaser, and DeSalle presses a few controls*

There, done. *Places the Phaser on the worktop of the replicator, before punching T'las in the face. Since T'las wasn't expecting it, she falls to the floor, before picking herself back up. The two raise their arms into a fighting stance* You asked for that one!

T'las: Shut up. If we can get you to a power node, can you--?

DeSalle: They only transfer power, so it's useless without an active generator.

T'las: But each block has it's own generator in case of a power failure.

DeSalle: They're all in the Admin Block though. We can't reach it without the footbridges.

*T'las looks at her phaser, before finally relaxing and resting her arms.*

T'las: What about my phaser? We could use it's power cell to jump start the footbridge!

DeSalle: *Sighs* 1. It's a lot more complicated than that. 2. *Kicks T'las in the leg, causing her to stumble* You dropped your guard.

T'las: I thought you didn't WANT to escape! *Lifts her arms back up*

DeSalle: I don't. I don't want to do anything to get me out of here though, either! In fact, I'd much rather knock you into next week!

T'las: Just try it! *The tension between the two peaks for a moment, before the two relax and DeSalle sits on the bunk.* You're really not gonna help?

DeSalle: Nope. No way. Not a chance.

*T'las grabs her phaser, activating it and setting it to stun, and then opens the hatch before stepping outside the door.*

Aren't you gonna close that?

T'las: Nope.

DeSalle: Why?

T'las: Because this part of the station houses mentally insane patients as well.

DeSalle: I thought I was the one that was supposed to be insane here?

T'las: I'm testing exactly how far your desire to stay in prison goes. And I'm betting it doesn't even exist! *Throws the phaser back into the cell.* You're gonna want that.

DeSalle: That's an awfully big bet!

T'las: I don't think so. *Walks toward the deactivated footbridge, standing a meter from the edge, when someone knocks her to the floor. She looks to see a Jem'Hadar plasma rifle pointed at her head* Oh, hell.

Jem'Hadar: Victory is life! *As he's about to pull the trigger, something pushes him to the floor, making him drop his Plasma Rifle. DeSalle places her foot on his throat, crouching down, grabbing his side-arm and combat knife, and ripping out his vial of Ketracel White. She then picks him up and pushes him off the edge.*

DeSalle: And Defeat, apparently, is death. At least, it is in your case. How many levels is that? *Offer T'las her hand.*

T'las: About 189. You change your mind? *Takes DeSalle's hand as she pulls her to her feet.*

DeSalle: Don't make me punch that smug grin off your face. *Picks up the Jem'Hadar Pistol and slides the rifle over to T'las. She also hands T'las her phaser.*

T'las: Why are you giving me the Rifle AND a Phaser? *Places her phaser back on her waist before grabbing the Rifle.*

DeSalle: Because if I lose control, I want you to kill me. That clear enough for you? C'mon, there's an access terminal we can steal a generator from over here. *Picks up the knife and slips it into her back trouser pocket, before walking towards a console. T'las, after looking at her suspiciously, follows.*

T'las: So, let me get this straight. You want to either be locked up in a super-maximum security cell, locked away from the outside world except from a few psychiatric meetings behind a forcefield, or you want to be killed, instead of living free?

DeSalle: Is that so wrong?

T'las: I KNEW you wanted me to kill you on Vulcan!

DeSalle: Oh, well done. Am I supposed to be impressed?

*Low-sec. Soval's trying to hold off a swarm of inmates, with nothing but a bar he broke off the stairway. Mind you, a Vulcan armed with anything remotely like a baton is still an extremely dangerous individual.*

Soval: I would... *Knocks one inmate to the ground in front of him* Suggest... *Turns around and nerve pinches another* That you... *hits another in the stomach with his "baton" and again in the back, knocking him unconscious to the floor* Return to your cells! *Hits a Gorn with it across the face, somehow knocking the Gorn out, but also breaking the bar in two, leaving Soval holding the smaller piece* Oh, not good! *Ducks to avoid an inmate's punch before palm striking several away from him and knocking as many away as possible. The Vorta is still sat in his cell, despite the opportunity to run to his freedom*

Vorta: Behind you.

*Soval twists around, blocking a kick with his arm before punching an inmate out cold.*

Soval: Appreciated!
