Cole walks onto deck 28. A deck on the valiant that is filled with trees a rivers and lakes. Taking a long walk through the area trying to relax after all that has happened.
*Soval is in the holodeck, running a program of the Forge on Vulcan.*
Voice *Soval's head*: Varanus. Varanus. Varanus.
Soval: A return signal. *He places a finger on his temple to silence the interlink node.*
What is happening?
Chester: We're almost finished here Valiant. We're just disposing of the radiation and we'll be on our way back.
T'mar: I'm still feeling something, but it's a lot closer.
If it's a manned ship, they're jamming me.
Chester: Hold on. There's something coming through on the deflector. It's a sub-band communication. Hold on! I know that signal! It's a Borg transponder!
Hudson to Valiant! Red Alert! We've got a Borg Ship out there! I repeat, we have a Borg ship out there! We're heading back now!
T'mar: What about the radiation?
Chester: Flush it into the warp core. We'll jetisson and let the anti-matter deal with the radiation.
T'mar: Right! *She hits a few controls on her console.* Done.
*As the runabout docks, a Scimitar with obvious Borg features decloaks in front of the Valiant and unleashes a bombardment of missiles, some adapting and passing through the shields and almost derelicting the Valiant. On the bridge, a transmission of a Romulan with hair shaved off and some kind of tattoo of a raptor across his forehead appears on screen.*
Romulan: Hello there. I am Subcommander Darov of the True Romulan Star Empire.
My commander wishes an audience with your Captain. Refusal would be unwise. He shall board a shuttle and travel to our ship in that fashion.
