So, I recently got around to playing my first Klingon character and one of the first things I noticed about the beds is that they are too Starfleet... They have mattresses, sheets, blankets, and pillows. What is this?! These are Klingon quarters, Klingon beds, and they don't need any of that soft stuff.
The problem is the Kdf has so many different bed needs
theres the stark utility beds of the IKDF
the soft furs and cushions of the Noble houses
The Letheans water beds
The Gorns large flat rocks
the Nausicans vibrating hotel beds
and of course the Orions bunk beds
As I recall, the Beds on a Klingon K'Vort-class Bird-of-Prey is simply a metal bulkhead in the shape of a bed. Picard attempted (and failed) to sleep on one in Unification Part 1.

I love that scene. Picard was acting all tough to impress that Klingon who showed him the bed and he ends up not being able to sleep on it because it is so uncomfortable and because Data is standing next to him staring blankly (reviewing information), but back to the topic. Klingon beds are basically a metal covert in the bulkhead.
