The fleet came into range of the advancing invasion force, it was a desperate time, both the Federation and the Klingon Empire, once again united to try and face an all powerful foe, all were lined up ready to defend their homes, even at the cost of their lives.
Aboard the Stonehenge, Captain Voncloud was one of those defenders, he watched as his view screen showed the image of the enemy,
The Lockbox cube fleet of PWE, numbers beyond measure faced them, silent, silver boxs, looming on the defenders.
The lockboxs began to strike, using Broken Forums and long support tickets to bog down and depress the defenders, making some leave before they even got a chance to strike, the federation began to retort, but some had linked their Cryptic Accounts, and couldn't log on, making their Ships sitting Ducks, destroyed by the Lockboxs Lobi crystal torpedos.
The Klingons, Brave, and Ferocious, began their attack run, but their lack of content ment they didnt have the means to take on the lockboxs, the PVPers rushed in..but PVP was being rebuilt, so their skills ment nothing against the sheer spam tactics of the Lockboxs, the captains Cried out to Cryptic, they needed these lockboxs to be halted, Stahl did reply
"As far as lockboxes go, we have heard the feedback loud and clear" We all read with awe, had our prayers been answers...no..was the answer.. "While you will still see lockboxes in the future" No..he had not heard our plees..he lied about hearing our feedback...the lockboxs and their PWE masters continue to loom on us..we can only but retreat..and hope..that someday we can see past the Lockbox cloud, the broken forums and the forced account changes..and that maybe we will be heard, one day.
Hehe... also makes me wonder: since lockboxes quite obviously will stay, and will do so in high numbers, could we please have a few adjustments:
1. Reduce the graphical size of the lockboxes. Normal loot containers are visible, but don't disturb gameplay. The super-big (and floating, when on the ground) lockboxes too often block your view. Shrinking them a bit and placing them on the floor would improve gameplay without taking away from them spawning and being picked up.
2. Could we please have some auto-loot feature, like available in some other games?
It would be very convenient if we could pre-set some loot rolling options for items. Presets would be: pass, greed, need, ask me.
Kathegories would be rarity, split up on items (alternatively even seperate space and ground items) and lockboxes. (Basically nobody would want to roll "need" on a common lockbox, but things might look quite different on the rare ones. )
Thus the omnipresent lockboxes would still be around in piles of hundreds and those who want to open them will still have them and can buy keys. At the same time, the annoyance factor would be eliminated, sounds like a win-win to me.
