I know it'd make it better and whatnot, and I am a Dreadnought player, but I think giving it saucer separation would be wrong. The whole point of the lance is that the saucer separation had to be sacrificed so the lance could be stuck on - the wiki says so. Besides, it's a dreadnought. Dreadnoughts aren't meant to have manoeuvrability comparable to an escort.

BUT, the saucer seperation isnt meant to be good a manuverbility, plus its a retrofit, its upgraded, who knows, maybe the spinal laser lance is removed if you use saucer seperation and when you get the saucer back its available

Umm....rrriiiiggghht. An Engineering Oddy is OP compared to the Dreadnaught. Okay.

It's nice to thing someone believes a ship with a Cloak AND Phaser Lance AND Cannon capability needs Saucer Seperation AND a fifth weapon slot to match a ship with...Saucer Seperation and Advanced Quantumn Slipspace.

I think you need to reevaluate your scales for judging ships, sir.

Actually, yes...Saucer Seperation -is- supposed to improve the manueverability of the ship seperating. That's the reason you do so, and the mechanic in both the ships that do so currently in the game.

As for the Lance, it is already documented that, when seperated, the Lance becomes a cone-area weapon similar to a shotgun. This was posted back when the Gal-X seperation was announced. You don't lose it, it simply becomes a different weapon (and with the number of carriers coming onto the scene, a potentially more effective one).

Many videos there of my Dreadnought's use.

FIRE AT WILL!!! video hosts me dealing nearly 60k in 1 single shot of the Lance (not including the 2nd burst. The skill's total would've been over 100k damage, if he survived.

Ironically, it was another Dreadnought (which has similar defenses to a Star Cruiser).

There isn't a ship in the game that can survive that without RSP. The advantage of a good ping and cloak - I can generally hit them long before they can react.

as i said, the saucer seperation must sacrafice something, like cloak or whatnot, and the fact that the manuverbility is increased, of course it has to sacrafice something, im just saying they should think about the odyssey, its overpowered, we need tier 5 ships that can actually stand up to an odyssey, becuase in pvp the other day, i had my spinal laser lance on 10,000 damage, and i shot it directly to the hull of an odyssey, guess what?! it regen shields instantly and healed its hull instantly and then took out my shields and i was forced into collision course.

If that's all the damage you can pump out with the Lance, you're doing it wrong.

I won't complain if the Dreadnought gets a power increase... after all, it makes me stronger. But it isn't absolutely required either.

For me it's simply not right if Dreadnought gets the separation. Galaxy-Retro is already nearly useless compared to Gal-X [but a lot more beautiful too ]. If X gets the separation, then R has to get something too. A big something if you as me.
