My Question is...

Lets say I'm a science officer. And i want to do some stuff in the engineering branch.. am i allowed to branch off to engineering or am i stuck in science? And the second part goes along with the first If I'm Science and i go engineering can i use ships only engineers use if i have training in it or am i again stuck with science ships?

Oh and if I'm a captain and i want to use a tier 2 ship cause i love that ship or whatever.. will i be able to enhance that ship if I'm an engineer or if I'm tactical could i buy enhancements and have them put on or are the different ships non-upgradable?

Cryptic has said no saucer separation or MVAM at launch. Of course I wouldn't rule it out as an addon feature though.

Probably the same, it's quite unbalanced at the moment lol (40+ Federation ships to 2 Klingon..)

my question is:

whats the difference of the ships within the same tier and same carrier typ?

so is a discovery class more powerfull then a intrepid class ship or is it just more specified to its purpose? more space for scientific work or something like that? so will i have to change to a discovery or can i put all my effort into my intrepid with an satisfying result?

I know there has to be some kind of balance in the game, even in space combat. However, if an Admiral chooses to man/command a Defiant class vessel (for example), could it be even close to a match for an Admiral commanding a Phoenix class escort?

In more detail:
Will skills allow an Admiral to mount the higher tier shield and weapon specs onto a lower tier ship, or is that not possible at the moment?

mh i think they already explained that in an interview some time ago. an admiral can choose a defaint and use all of her potential as they called it when he puts his earned points into this ship. but the potential of a higher tier class ship is bigger. so a maxed out defaint could maybe beat a standart or low modified phoenix. but if you spend enough points into the phoenix the defaint could not longer be a match.

well i hope this will help. its only how i interpret the hole thing
