the game gives out better bridge officers than the store. Save your money. i bought 12 packs of bridge officers and got 1 rare, 4 blue and the rest green and white. The packs are horrible the game gives better officers for free.

You mean the new DOff packs?
I bought five and got 3 purples and a few blues- one of which a nice flight deck officer for my new escort carrier.
Plus, I got 20 units of Ketricel White, which I now save for my Doc to do missions with for Medical Commendation.

I bought 2 packs, put one on the exchange straight away and got 5mil for it. sweet. Opened the other, and got some ok doffs but a flight deck officer too. also 10 feresan nepata leaves. handy for doff missions.

Also these officers have active duty powers not generally available from in game doffs atm

yeah yeah i agree Reinforcment packs r a joke iv opened 8 got nothing but rubbish doffs, Jevonite and stuff and Brandy worth nothing

Since they are bought, it boils down to a simple rule:
"You wanted it, you got it. Live with it."

You are not required to buy any Packs at all, the DOFF-System works well without them.
It just takes more time.

I bought over 30 Gammapacks (got some nice DOFFs; no ship) during the incentive. But I'm fine. I got what I wanted (new DOFFs), and a bit more stuff (Lobis, which made me a good buck and some costumfun for my GF).

I bought 5 of the new Packs, got nothing out of it with any use for me (I don't fly carriers).
But still got good cash on the exchange, and my GF was very happy with her 3 new Rare DOFFs she got that way. So, again, I'm fine with it, I still got something worthwhile.

FYI I am a big collector of various Trading Card Series and Games (I still have my Decipher CCG complete Collections, and on the market they are nearly worthless, still I spent several thousands in cash on the cards during the years), so I'm familiar with the ways such systems work and how to live with it.
Spending lots of cash on some printed paper or digital ones isn't for everyone, so my advice: Don't buy it, if you can't handle it! If you do, live with it.
(In contrast to the lockboxes, it's pure gambling, so I don't buy keys at all, and so shouldn't anyone if you ask me)

to those of you upset about having too many common duty officers, they are all selling for about a million EC on the tribble exchange--need oodles of 'em for starbases.

Picked up two packs with my stipend and a few spare points, the doffs were aweful but i was rewarded a purple tetryon console that got snapped up for 17mill. Result!

I get 18 cadres, and I get a lot of rares commodites, two strange alien artifacts and a lot of duty of purple and blue colors. I really want the ship, but I have no complain about the others items.

I bought 4 reinforcement packs, had to open them on an alt because my main was overloaded with DOffs.

Bagged the freighter on #3. Powered alien artifact, too.
