Thanks SO MUCH for all your support, and we'll see you in-game!
Wow. I honestly never knew weapons could be remodulated until I read this. I've never done an STF, and never worked with another player in this game outside of PvP, and somehow I just never learned that was possible.
I've just been using melee weapons for borg missions.
I'm glad I looked at this post. I've been wanting to start doing more team oriented stuff in this game, and it would have been embarrassing to not know that.
Problem I've seen with people using the 10% rule in ISE: They tend to forget that rule hinges on having enough concentrated firepower to take down the transformers before the nanite ships get within range. On more than a few occasions, the PuGs don't.
Then they complain as though the force of their whining alone will blow up the Borg.
^ where it gets to be a problem is when the PUG-randomizer puts four carriers and a single escort on the same team, or even worse... all cruisers. Those are long fights, especially if it's all-nOOb and no one knows how to deploy science-powers.
Another issue: One person per generator please! It's very hard to judge when to let off the kill-button if three people are firing all at once. I know about how long to sustain fire to bring the generator down to 5-10%... At that point a HYT is all it takes to screw things up.
--- "Like endless downtime of a Cryptic Game... IT NEVER ENDS. Tune in next week for another episode of Sever Not Responding, and hear someone on staff say 'what, again? *sigh*'"
I have never been in a PUG that hasn't been able to blow a transformer if everybody shoots at when the generators all blow within 1-2 seconds of each other. Nobody can be that bad when it's a stationary target that doesn't shoot back.
Just curious. I am using a cookie-cutter escort build running dual cannon and torp AoE Bridge abilities. Are these safe to use on Conduit, if my damage bleeds over to the transformer will the healing cubes heal it and cause the optional objective to fail, or does it only fail if the healer cubes are destroyed improperly and a healing sphere gets too close to the transformer?

The optional objectives fail if either of 2 things happen:
1) You fail to complete the main objective within the time limit.
2) If a Nanite sphere/probe heals the transformer. Theses nanite spheres/probes only appear after 1 of the small generators is destroyed. Healing done by the small generators does NOT fail the optional objective.
