I recently ran into a nasty build on Ker'rat and was curious about what I can do should I run into it again. The ships was a Guramba equipped with Phased polaron beams and Plasmonic Leech. Aside from points into the Power Insulators skill, is there anything that can be done to restore power levels? My standard escape options don't work due to not having any engine power (evasive and APO speed boosts become basically nothing).

Maybe use the eng power preset (or configure one of your own).
Other than that...
Emergency power to engines, engine battery, power insulator skill, power insulator science consoles, Nadion Inversion (Eng only) or EPS Power Transfer (Eng only).
Or, you could use an Energy siphon of you're own. Or some kind of disabling, maybe Photonic Shockwave, tricobalts, Nadion Detonator+Photon torpedo, jam sensors, etc...

Well, since you'r complaining mostly that it gets rid of all yoru engine power i can think of only these:

Emergency power to Engines? EPS flow Regulator Consoles? consoles that protect against power drain? Engine Batteries?

Thank you for the quick replies. Since I usually run some sort of escort , I think that I will keep an alternate eng boff with EPtE and a power insulator console on hand.

Engine battery would be simpler to slap on, wouldn't it?
