The original filming set for the TOS Galileo shuttlecraft is being auctioned off as we speak. After twenty years of being stored in unfavourable conditions, it is not in a good state.
A group has been formed with the aim of winning the auction and then raising funds for a complete restoration so it can be exhibited at various locations during the 50th anniversary celebration. Following that, the group will find a permanent home for it where it can be displayed for all fans to see.
Their homepage at http://galileorestoration.com/ hasn't had much activity so far, as the auction is ongoing, but has people with good credentials both backing the bidding and trying to raise awareness. If they do win, they plan to raise the funds for the restoration on Kickstarter. It is a project I'll happily contribute to.
Seriously, whats left that will survive? The shell is so deteriorated. You could use those spare parts inside a new shell. And if I had the money to do it, the new version would have proper wiring to make it more playable by visitors.
