Just played a roud of PvP with a random group. I was in the Red group along with two others. In the Blue group was An Armitage and, at first, I think to more...
Against klingons I do fairly well with my TAC-Odyssey. Against another Odyssey I manage. But against THAT Armitage.... HELLO!!!!!
When the other people in his team left, it was just that poor Armitage fighting against Me, (Geared Tac-Odyssey), A Fleet escort, And an Galaxy Dreadnought. Alingside this there was My Aquarius escort and the Cheveron Saucer. No matter what we did, or how we did it, he picked us off one by one. And the lowest we got him down to was about 66%
One lucky hit before that, dropped his hull down even more, but that was repaired almost instantly. He only had Re-inforced sheild repair units from his hangar.

Is the Armitage really that Though of a ship that he could withstand that kind of an assault from us? He?s Hull was 42000 -something. My Odyssey have 54 something, and I was lika a bug on the windshield on a train against that thing! And the Healing capabilities where the most amazing I?ve ever seen. Find it hard to belive that one player could manage that, so this get?s me thinking. Was it a DEV playing?? But then, why where there more people in he?s/her?s team just in the start??

I have never seen a ship take that kind of a beating before. Is was really something that you could compare to a Tactical borg cube.

What do you think? Has anyone else encountered this monster before?

It's way overpowered, and about to get even more so with the hull strength increase the devs have announced. Not cool.

maybe it was an Engineer in an armitage? that would explain why he was so tanky.

Are you kidding me?! Was that the real thing?! It cannot possibly get more Hullrating?
Three Ships and bonus ships are unable to stand up to it, and it get?s even stronger...?!

But still. Do they have the DOFF slots for that kind of a healing?! Three ships, and still has enough power over to kill in that kind of a way? I thought of that myself, but it does not make sense. You should have seen it.

an eng in an army could probably handle PVP tanking quite well. When you said 'we got a lucky hit that hurt him but he repaired almost instantly,' that really makes me think of Miracle worker, which is a huge repair/heal that engineers get.

Sometimes in PVP you just need to ignore the guy set for staying alive and focus on the squishier escorts. Tank specs sacrifice a lot of DPS for the ability to tank 3 players.

I understand. But he managed to do AWSOME damage and kill us with ease. This was the thoughest, and most deadly player ship I have ever seen In-game. And I?ve been playing sence the start. Are you really capable of have that kind of power to your shield?s, that armor, and get that kind of DPS and healing out at the same time. If so, Everyone should get one, no matter what they think of it.

Pretty sure the Dev's run with pink usernames in-game. Did you notice if this player had such?

devs do play the game, but they have little time for it... so I really don't think they PvP much, if at all
Was named Trek17, but still an author.

Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh'. I have nothing against the game/devs, nor any particular wish to talk bad about either, or praise most decisions. Still, it's better to be positive than cynical.
