I missed a comment on the swarmers. Advance slowly, so you get the minimum and put your shuttle or fighter into reverse as soon as you hit the first one. That reduces the numbers you are facing and buys you time before they can close and 'swarm' you.

Again, a 360 weapon helps there for when they do get to you.

Ive found that the transphasic clister torpedo is quite capeable of killing all the swarmers almost at once.

Just roll up and fire at around 9.9 k then move back before it detonates.
Actualy reading things pefore posting will make you look smarter than yelling loudly. Reading comprehension is aparently a lost art.

The Point Defense Console is definitely uber here.

I think it is a good idea to equip your figher with a turret and a DHC. You get more out of the Fighter's innate cannon rapid fire, and you have both a single firing arc high DPS weapon and a 360? low DPS weapon.

I like torpedo spread when first meeting swarmers. Failing that, Har'phang torpedos do a nice area of affect. Torpedo spread is much better.

On the KDF side I also use theta radiation, and on the Fed side I use the point defense console.
