In that case Cryptic could first of all explain that to the CBS people. A few pictures should make it clear that the Excalibur shares more with the Ambassador and Sovereign than with the Constitution. If that wouldn't help because whoever is responsible is blinder than a mole they could tell us that they tried and it didn't work. Instead they either dodge the question or give the old "No Constitution!"-answer even when it was specifically not a Constitution that was asked for.

Imho the same thing should be true for the Miranda/Centaur/ShirKar. Those vessel were present at almost every battle we have seen and were able to fare quite well. The Centaur was able to take on a Jem?Hadar fighters and B?Rels (current high-tier ships) in the series and movies without any problems.

Hell no, it would be bad if more people would enjoy the game. They made refits for all T2, T3 and T4 ships except the T2 cruiser, that would be too much. Not mentioning that the "whole lot of cruisers" you are talking about is mostly 2000 C-Points in the store.
The uniform colors of the shows didn't exactly mean the same as they do in STO, in tng/ds9/voy Red was for command which pretty much every captain and first officer were of. Gold was for security, engineering, and ops and blue was for science and medical. True about the tos enterprise, Spock was science officer and first officer...but that was inefficient...same with the NX Enterprise...the first officer was also the Engineer...so if Spock or Tucker were killed not only did you lose your first officer you lost you Science officer or Engineer.

I honestly don't really recall any of those ships really being referred to as cruisers...I could be wrong but I haven't seen anywhere that calls those ships cruisers, especially the Intrepid since its less than half the size of a Galaxy class.

Yes alot tier 5 cruisers are c-store...but there are just as many non c-store cruisers as there are non c-store science and one more than non c-store escorts. But when you hit the c-store there are oodles more cruisers than the other two combined, in fact its 9 cruisers to 11 combined escorts and science vessels.

The Excalibur, Vesper, and Exeter are not the Constitution. Nor are Miranda, Centaur, and Shikar. If we can have an Vice Admiral B'rel, Excelsior and K'a'tinga, then we should be able to get a VA Miranda and Vesper by similar process.

Come on, Cryptic. We love those starships. Make them cost 4000 Zenpoints, and then count your winnings.

Yeah, frankly, one of the reasons I was so psyched about season six was the promise of upgraded ships. When I found out that this didn't include the Connies (tiers 1 or 2), Excals, nor the Mirandas, I was seriously bummed.

Nagus is doing a great job of representing my opinions on the matter. (NAGUS 2012!)

But, in all seriousness, I would love to know if there is a possibility of getting a T5 Excal or even an Exeter from a Dev's response.

Keep the thread alive, gang.

Sincerely, the former Tom_Riker01.

You know, I've often wondered why we just can't design a bigger ship, that resembled the Excalibur or Vesper.
It might look sorta constitution-esque, if you saw it from afar on a viewscreen that needed maintenance when sensors were inoperative.

It COULD be an easy enough work around that would make a lot of people happy and solve this issue once and for all.

I can only conclude that someone, somewhere, just doesn't care that this is something a lot of people would enjoy. (And before anyone says it, I'm NOT necessarily pointing any fingers at Cryptic either BTW.)

Oh well, I'm off to fly my more appropriate Cardassian Galor, Ferengi D'kora, or Tholian web whatever ....
