I used to watch Matlock with my grandmother after school while waiting for my mom to pick me up. Who can forget his fantastic role in Spy Hard...

Jeez, just in time for my grandmother's 96th birthday. How am I going to break this to her?

In College, when we didn't have cable TV, Andy Griffith, and MASH were my bread and butter. I love those shows dearly, and AG always made me feel better when I was down.

RIP Andy Griffith.

Aunt Bea (Frances Elizabeth Bavier) died in 1989.

Floyd the Barber (Howard McNear) died in 1969.

Otis the Town Drunk (Hal Smith) died in 1994.

Helen Crump (Aneta Louise Corsaut) Andy's second girlfriend died in 1995.

Ellie Walker the Pharmacist and the first of Andy's girlfriends (Elinor Donahue) is still alive.
(She also played Commissioner Nancy Hedford in the TOS episode "Metamorphosis")

Gomer (Jim Nabors) is still alive.

Opie is only a couple of years older than me...

... and even though I'm a Jocular Old Troll, there's still plenty of years left in both of us!

Please don't joke about things like this... he's still got to make the movie version of Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol

So inhumane superweapons, mass murder, and canon nonsense is okay, but speedos are too much for some people.

Sad, but true...He shall be missed.

Hmm...I still have a 45 of one of his early comedy routines "What it was was Football'

Yes...I'm that old, I used to listen to 45's...that is until the 33s came out.
And I still have most of them.
