it does somewhat but it looks awesome and would be a good idea to use for perhaps the Fleet Transwarp Terminals that are rumored to come

Idea! Perhaps one day if there's a project to allow the transwarp gate to send you to any sector barring those you require rank 4 Diplomacy/maurauding to enter, the perpetual TW-017 could be the model for the upgraded gate.
