That's true...except for this game, where everyone is admiral in week or so.

then the tier 5 fleet long range science ship should be captain as well because it was also captain and it got a good boost on it. Plus its a retrofit ship and a lot of people like the galaxy class ship. Cryptic should actually pay attention to what people say on these forums a lot of people agree that the galaxy r needs to be fix and they could fix the fleet version of it instead of giving us a 2.0 version of the c store version. I mean look at the heavy escort carrier its an upgrade of the arkia class and its better then the galaxy r even though the arkia class was a ship made before the galaxy was develope. So yea they don't need the ship to be at a captain level because its a retrofit otherwise they need to move some of the fleet star base ship to captain as well.

I too, use the Gal-R almost exclusively nowadays.
I'm a trek fan because I loved TNG as a kid. The Gal is my favorite ship by far, and holds a dear place in my heart. I care a LOT about how it is treated in STO.

All I'm asking for is an ensign universal station. It would make it more flexible.
And you could still keep that ens station as engineering if you wish.

As for continuing arguing "role-playing" points Vs actual gameplay, it's silly.
There is one at captain level. You are free to use it if you wish. Nobody is stopping you.
My character is a Vice Admiral by rank. I would like a retrofitted Galaxy. (For your RP, say my Admiral chose it, and retrofitted it to his specs. Admiral's prerogative )

There's nothing wrong with us asking for more options.
but when most people agree that it is sub-par (gameplay speaking), asking for it to remain so is counterproductive especially when there couldn't be a more perfect opportunity for the dev team to correct what has long been considered a shortcoming.

Well you must be then only happy person about the current stats of the ship then. Good for you.

But if you look on it objectively, there is nothing the ship does especially well compared to other cruisers. If you removed the models, and just looked on stats, G-R would be the last ship you would pick out of the cruiser layouts/stats.

are you joking sollvax this ship doesnt do a lot of dmg at all. why not make a good build with the galaxy r and own people in pve and pvp with it.

I never said it wasn't strong enough. It's my Engineer's main ship. He tanks with it.
And I can attest to it's ability, there. 20+ ships in a fleet action, throwing everything they have at it and the kitchen sink, and not even scratching the paint

Tac consoles, yes. I have seen that a lot, and (while not at the top of my list) I mostly agree.
