...when you have a friend test your Foundry mission and the very first thing they do is jump out a window, fall 500 meters to the ground and can't get back to the main map.
After the first time that happened I decided to prepare for it. Now if you jump out a window in my missions, you'll meet an entity named QQ who makes fun of you, then spawns a couple dozen targs to kill you so you'll respawn at the right place.
...You log into the game and see one of your friends online, and give them a friendly "Hi, how are you doing today?" greeting, then instead of a reply, a minute or so later you get the message, "(insert player @handle here) has taken you off their Friends List." And then you decide to send them a PM asking what the deal is, and when you hit Enter, you get the message, "(insert player @handle here) is ignoring you."
Honestly, not only is that awkward, it's also a "WTF?!?!?" moment.

.....when you have been bragging to your team mates that you will kick ass and finish that no-win scenario event that they could't win without you, only to appear in the mission in your Tuffli Freighter because you forgot to select your proper starship.....
....when you are telling everybody to shape up and get on with it in Starbase Incursion, only to then stupidly jump on crates and fall behind them, so you can't get out anymore....
....when you made everybody believe that that shiny and unreacheable lock box on top of the crates in the bottom left corner of Starbase Incursion is filled with 200 fleet marks, someone actually manages to jump up there and turns out you can't open it....
When you've been arguing for 3 pages about getting a 'recipe' for a male or female character of a certain race, and was just about to consider using the link provided as opposed to continuing to ask for a forum post on the topic (or giving up), and first thing you read after making a triple-post in reply to 7 other posts was "I'll make you a bridge officer".
True story. Ask one of the posters in this thread. Couldn't type out anything but ":eek" and "...".
Unless you count the 'action text' explaining my not saying anything except that, that is.
Edit: Also, psycotic, it'd be more awkward if you were asked for your name and replied (example, don't know your ingame name): "James Tiberius Kirk".
Oh, lovely, I can't even requote the Douglas Adams quote I used to have here I WANT IT BACK!!!!
