Right now I have

Fore: 4x Borg Anti-proton DHC
Aft: Working towards 3x Borg Anti-proton Turrets
Deflector: Borg Deflector
Impulse: Borg Engines
Shields: MACO Mk XII
Devices: Subspace Field Modulator, empty
Eng Consoles: x2 Plasma Distribution Manifold
Sci Consoles: (Clueless here), Assimilation Module
Tac Consoles: x4 Anti-proton Mag Regulator

Boff Setup:
Commander Tac: Tac Team I, Scatter Volley I, Rapid Fire II, Scatter Volley III
Lt. Commander Tac: Tac Team I, Rapid Fire I, Rapid Fire II
Lt. Eng: EPtS I, Reverse Shield Polarity I
Lt. Sci: Transfer Shield Strength I, Polarize Hull II
Ensign Sci: Sci Team 1

Boffs are a bit redundant. I need to get rid of Sci Team 1, and some Scatter Volley / Rapid Fire

Use your spare Sci console slots for Mk XI Field Generators, they add 18% to your shield HP each.

Definitely get rid of the Sci Team, since it shares a CD with the Tac Teams replace it with Hazard Emitters, imo.

Attack Pattern Beta and Attack Pattern Omega would be good replacements for some of the Cannon skills.

Get rid of the Plasma Distribution Manifolds, imo. With your ship's bonus to weapon power and your skills, you should be able to run at 125/95 anyway. Replace them with armour for damage resists - I use Monatonium, personally, but other people may make other suggestions.

I'd recommend replacing one of the DHCs with a dual beam bank. Then replace one of your Cannon Rapid Fire IIs with Beam Overload III. When shields are down, a BOIII does amazing things to hull.

For the second device, try Aux Batteries. Give one of your science BOs Hazard Emitters (a hull heal), and use an aux battery before using the BO ability.

For the two science consoles, get field generators (increased shield cap).

Good solid advice here.

One thing I would add is to remove one of your DHCs and replace it with a torp.

Fore: 3 DHC + Torp
Aft: 3 turrets

^^ Very solid setup.

Personally I would also scrap one of the Rapid Fire II and replace it with High Yield III.

Excellent advice, no argument here. Reduce Polarize hull2 to Polarize hull 1, and bump up TSS1 to TSS2. The extra dmg resist+heal+regen is great. Also, slot a few projectie doffs if you put in that torp- if you have 3 purples, you can fire a photon pretty much every 2 seconds= big dps boost

For normals. I've used it in elite also but just saying that it is sooper easy to use in normals.

I'd Recommend looking into

Eng console: Nuetronium+RCS
Sci:2x Field generators + borg console
Tac:4x antiproton

Boff
CMDR Tac :TT1, beta/delta, AP Omega, rapid fire 3
Lt cmdr Tac: TT1 beta/delta, rapid fire 2
Sci: Polarize hull + (2x) Transfer shield strength
Eng: EPtS x 2 or EPtS and reverse shield polarity

you should be able to run TT, EPtS, and rapid fire with near 100% uptime. Omega isn't necessary with polarize hull but having both of them will keep you out of tractor beams with certainty.

I'm no escort flyer, but having recently got the Karfi which has similar wepons slots and heavy boff tac skills I found recently for STFs running 2x DHC + 2x torps up front with 3x turret up back is pretty good.

Borg is all about hull once their sheilds are down, and running dual torps (of the photon variety for highest sustained dps) with 2x purple doffs and torp spread along with scatter fire for my cannons does rather nicely.

Firing off TT1 and APB2 along with those does wonders. So I can imagine commander level skills buffing that even further.


Basically, give a thought to running dual torps for higher bare hull/structure dps.

- Replace those extra 3 Cannon abilities with various Attack Patterns, 1 Omega and 2 Betas are feasible since you have Polarize Hull.

- Sci Team-> Hazard Emitters.
Or rather, Polarize Hull II -> Hazard Emitters II, Sci Team -> Polarize Hull I.

- Eng Consoles: Neutronium, Borg.

- Sci Consoles: Field Gen*3.

Don't listen to the idiots above that want you to downgrade your setup, 4 DHCs is optimal.


Oh, and since you only have 1 Emergency Power to Shields, run 2-3 Damage Control Engineers, Purples if possible.

Sci: I'll consider the Field Generators but they're so damn expensive. (Need to stop buying Master Keys)
Tac: 4x Mag Regulators

I made an adjustment to what people are saying about my Tac Boff setup, both of them have Tac Team I, High Yield II, Rapid Fire II (While still keeping Scatter Volley III as I like to use it sometimes)

I also got Hazard Emitters.
