Since STO went F2P, I do not see any good reason in subscribing unless you fancy the veteran status swag. You could be spending that $15 US in the C-Store / Zen Store buying content/services that you actually will use.
I've been a lifer since before release and my investment way back when in my future entertainment has more than paid for itself many times over.

its always never fun to see others leave for reasons that associate cost vs goods.
as many here have, i am sure, i have played a wide array of MMOs and am glad to be a part of this one even with the items i feel are negatives, as has been proven by many posts in the previous cryptic forums and now in these.
never will an MMO be the end-all-be-all for any one group of people. gotta take the good with the bad.
