Just a shame they couldn't have taken another week to do the season 6 update to make sure at no point content was removed while they "work stuff out"..
It does not quite work like that. they said they have run testes on tribble and internally and everything looked fine. theoretically it should work but when it goes live there is no guarantee that it will work exactly like it did in testing.

even if they delayed it by a month the potential for something to go wrong remains.

Might be that they have a heck of a lot more raw stuff to deal with than in previous seasons-I'd wager there are a lot more new guys (like me), who're whetting their toes with Foundry (thus, more crap to keep track of), plus all the experienced people with published missions, AND more published missions in total to deal with-and I'd wager the progression's not linear, but geometric in scope- More features, more assets, AND more people, plus more archived materials- that says to ME that it's going to take more time than it did before, because there's more raw work to flat DO than before, between patches, not bungling up the existing material, AND keeping track of all the new guys' stuff along side the old hands and THEIR stuff.

There is a finite limit to how hard you can work your techies and how much stuff you can transfer successfully at any single moment of the work-day, and a finite number of workdays you can run over the 'competency starts to fail through exhaustion' limit. Patience, I offer, is called for here.

They've probably deleted it (like toy story 2 which was deleted by accident, and only SAVED by a mother who wanted to work from home, and took a copy of the unfinished movie home with her to work there ) ....... So maybe they are asking all the mothers in the company if they have a copy of the deleted foundry data...

(I jest - I am sure everything is fine)

probably found more problems making the missions compatable... personally, I don't care if I loose all my made missions... with the new bits that should be now available, I would more then likely opt to start from scratch anyway...

Well I am a mother and my son suggested they are doing this to get an opinion on how many of us would actively complain about it.

I myself believe it will be up by Monday since no one works the weekends.

It is saturday. I worked today.
Just because a majority works monday to friday 9 to 5 doesn't make any absence of people available both at night and on weekends.

And just because you have to work on Saturday doesn't mean a crew of programmers are going into overtime on the Foundry. If it is NOT up by mid day Monday, I would like a bit more detailed reason than the vague answer we currently have from PWEbranflakes.

I am patient... I can wait until Monday.

While I am not sure if it will be up by mid day Monday, out goal is to have it back up ASAP. Here is a little bit more background:

The Foundry was taken offline while all projects republish. As they republish, the programming and QA teams are going through reports to ensure missions had a smooth transition. This was the biggest update to the Foundry since it launched, not only because of the new assets and features that were introduced, but due to the new code branch that the game has moved up to -- this is why republishing is taking longer than previous republishing. A lot of this code change is behind the scenes, but it affects every Foundry mission previously made.

By doing these checks, we want to ensure that everything transitioned smoothly so Foundry authors have no issues with their missions when they go to edit them, and when everyone goes to play them. There will be some missions that need to be updated before they can be manually republished, though, and I put more notes about this for authors in the OP

It's also important to note that every team involved with the Foundry has been working on this transition for quite some time, ensuring they've covered all bases, and have done an amazing job doing so.

Cheers,

Brandon =/\=

I didn't express which Monday, there are 3 left this month. But fireallphasers seems to be correct in the fact that Brandon is working today. Good job Brandon and thanks for getting back to us on that.

Hopefully, it won't happen again with season 7 and beyond. I fear it will require a lot of small work to authors, and it's a bit tedious to be forced to work again on something you'd like not to spend too much time on it, since it was a finished project...
